HiIn your Reference Manual for the STM32F469 at 31.3.11 it says:A DMA access is requested when the TXE or RXNE enable bit in the SPIx_CR2 register is set.But the SPIx_CR2 Register does not have a TXE/RXNE bit, it has a TXEIE/RXNEIE bit which just en-/disables the Interrupt. Is this a typo or on purpose? The only TXE/RXNE bits I found are in the SPI_SR register...

Hi,I'm working with the new STM32WLE5 MCU. I switched to our custom board recently, and because of that I'm using a Segger debugger. Prior we used a Nucleo board with the STLink debugger and that worked fine. Now I adjusted my debug settings for the segger and the CubeIDE tells me that the target device STM32WLE5JC ist not supported. And when I go through the list of devices (which then poped up) there are in fact none of this type.I have installed IDE version 1.6.0. Then I downloaded the J-Link tools from segger V6.98c and when I'm starting the J-Link commander I can connect and download my program. In their device list the STM32WLE5 devices are there...So my question: Can you fix this? When can we expect, that the IDE supports this MCU? Otherwise we might switch the IDE, so that we are able to debug. But we would rather not...Thanks!Stefan

I a wondering if it is possible to setup the host without VBUS and ID pin assigned. I would like to use USB A type (like laptops have) socket - there is no ID pin available and I do not VBUS detection as it is always ON.

Hello everyone;I'm working LUPART with STM32H747. I have a problem like this;- LPUART 1000000 baudRate has been installed. LSE clock is not used.There is no problem when the LPUART's RX-TX line is physically connected to the module. But when I physically remove the module, the processor does not execute the code at runtime. Constantly getting stuck in LPUART1_IRQHandler function. The problem disappears when I drop the BaudRate for example 9600. Below is the interrupt routine I wrote for LPUART. It works smoothly on all other UART / USARTs.static void DS_LPUSART1_InterruptCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { uint32_t isrflags = READ_REG(huart->Instance->ISR); uint32_t cr1its = READ_REG(huart->Instance->CR1); uint32_t cr3its = READ_REG(huart->Instance->CR3); uint8_t received_data = 0;   bool is_transmit_in_progress = false;   if ( ( (isrflags & USART_ISR_RXNE_RXFNE) != 0U) && ( ( (cr1its & USART_CR1_RXNEIE_RXFNEIE) !

I came across this Ethernet example:https://community.st.com/s/article/How-to-create-project-for-STM32H7-with-Ethernet-and-LwIP-stack-workingIt is giving me an issue regarding configuring HSE in bypass mode. The maximum core frequency l can get is 96MHz compared to 400 MHz in the example.Thank you for any assistance.

HiI just wonder at the example:STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.26.0/Projects/STM32469I-Discovery/Examples/FMC/FMC_SDRAM/Src/main.cand there is a define:#define WRITE_READ_ADDR ((uint32_t)0x0800)Whats the purpose of that (offset?)? Doesn't the FMC SDRAM start at 0xC0000000 ?

 I have the memory map on page 76 of this manual,https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/dm00400546-spc584bx-32bit-mcu-family-built-on-the-power-architecture-for-automotive-body-electronics-applications-stmicroelectronics.pdfbut it is for 2M flash memory, for my device it is 1M, i have read out the  MCU ID Register #2(SIUL2_MIDR2), one value is 0Xb0004200(1M), but actually i found the flash all be programmed correctly to 2M.

Thank you for helping.How can I use English and Japanese?Can you speak Japanese even if you run the simulator? The characters are garbled.

Hi all,I'm new on ST word, but I want to learn how realize graphic interface with gfxstudio.I bought a board with STM32H743VIT6 (some more infos here: https://github.com/WeActTC/MiniSTM32H7xx)I installed GFXstudio (v4.16 - v4.15 and v4.13) on STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1.I create a new project (C++), I choose the right uC and I configured all peripherals to manage an external TFT 480x272 display (via LTDC)I designed a simple Screen with a picture and 2 buttons, then I generate the code from GFXstudio 4.16 and it works without problems.When I try to compile the project on Stm32CubeIDE I see a lots of missing files and patch witch block the compiling process.Every time I insert a new patch, i receve a new error cause a new file is missing.I would like to know some simple things to start my first project:1) Why I must insert all the patch to locate the files needed by project? is it possibile do it automatically? Hello All,I'm working on PWM on SPC560B54 - Dis by importing and using example source code "SPC560Bxx_RLA PWM-ICU Test Application for Discovery"I can generate PWM signal with 800kHz and 400kHz frequency but could not change the Pulse width of every pulse I'm generating.In order to control ws2812 addressable LED, PWM needs to be generated with 60% and 30% duty cycle simultaneously. I tried to generate PWM with two width simultaneously but sometimes one pulse is missed or generated extra. From datasheet ws2812 needs data in 800kHz and 400kHz with 24bits of "1"code(60%) and "0"code(30%) for one led.  /*************************************************************************************************/ #define LED_CNT 1 #define RED 1 #define GREEN 0 #define BLUE 2 uint8_t led_buffer[LED_CNT][3],i; void glow_led(void) { uint16_t led_no; uint8_t led_color,one=1; uint8_t bit; for(led_no = 0; led_no<LED_CNT; led_no++) { for(led_color=0; led_color<3; led_color++) {

Hi everyone,I am using comparator 2 to capture a signal of duration 3-5usec. But observed that, I am able to trigger the comparator only when the duration of the signal is >5usec. I was wondering if there is any delay introduced by Vrefint in STM32L0xx. Attached is sample image of signal of interest and let me know if there is a solution from HW/SW to trigger the comparator when the signal duration is <5usec.

I am using SAI protocol to get the audio output...For now I am directly using the bin file provided in the sample code...I just wanted to know if we have mp3 file or any other format other then bin file, how it can be dumped to board using STM32CubeProgrammer.

Hi,I want to know whether the SPC570S MCU is a obsolete product? If so what MCU product line is recommended for future development?Nisal

At first, let me say that these are my first steps with the STM32H743 so it's really possible I'm doing something really wrong. I've been having issues with the USART which would show that the PC only receives some characters and others have invalid values. So upon sending Hello World, the PC would receive something along the line ".e...W..l." with the characters in between being "wrong".I then checked on my scope and came to the conclusion that the USART frequency was off by approx 7%. I traced it back and made the STM32 put out the MCO signal of the HSI RC (64MHz) divided by 8. What I get is a whopping ~7.5MHz which is approx the 7% difference I am seeing.According to the datasheet, the HSI frequency should be off at maximum by about 0.4% (63.7 - 64.3MHz max).Why am I seeing those 7.5MHz which I do not expect at all and which are .. frankly .. useless.

Hi, what is the correct way to validate the data from a gyroscope? we are receiving data but we don't know if the values are correct

Hello, for my project I have decided for negotiating 20V using USB-C PD protocol, to power an external LED lighting.My circuit design comes from the minimum implementation in the datasheet, but I've decided to get rid of the p-MOSFET as I don't need on/off switch on the sink. I believe that the negotiation is happening on the CC lines, so hopefully, this decision shouldn't interfere. According to the datasheet, the VBUS_EN_SNK pin is an open-drain which I believe could even be left unconnected.I am unable to negotiate any voltage above 5V. I've tried to use both factory settings of the chip and also programming the NVM contents by myself.Here is the schematic of the circuit: I've already inspected the board for soldering problems and tried four different pieces. The EVAL-SCS002V1 board is working as expected using the same USB-C power adapter, as well as the SparkFun Power Delivery Board.This is the content of the NVRAM I tried (apart from the factory defaults):00 00 b0

Hello support team,We are decided to use your ISM330DHCX for our next products. So we are ongoing to describing the FW requirement to the FW team in our organization.However, I’m not sure we should use the USER OFFSET registers in device for the offset calibration. I think some of specs as described in the d/s (ie: LA_So, LA_Cx) are assumed with use the USER OFFSET registers. Is it correct? Or, even not use the USER OFFSET registers but the specs are guaranteed? I think for the offset calibration, the USER OFFSET registers should be used but some colleagues believe no use the USER OFFSET registers should be ok and the offset value can store in the memory in the MCU and use for the calibration by the MCU at each time as to decide the angles.Please give us your advice.Best regards,Izumi Maruyama

In CubeMX version 6.20, board Nucleo-H743ZI2: I want to find alternatives for SPI1_MOSI. Default is PD7 but all examples use PA7.So I ctrl/click on PD7 and expect that CubeMX will show me PA7. But it does not.Well maybe it finds it, but does not show it in any useful way.Tried left , right, middle click, left or right control.Same with PA7: if selected as SPI1_MOSI, ctrl/click will not show PD7.--pa

Hello!I am wondering what the high level process for enabling a USART port is. I am enabling RCC_AHB1ENR_GPIODENRCC_APB1ENR_USART2ENBut the TX line stays low. I am guessing it has to do with the clock?Thanks

I'm trying to get the USBPD middleware running with 2 ports: 1 source and 1 sink. I already followed the tutorial to get 1 port working as a sink. When I add the second port as a source, the chip immediately hits a hardfault after starting. I traced it back and the problem is on line 1013 of usbpd_cad_hw_if.c, where _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine(PortNum, pEvent, pCCXX) is run. The problem is that for some reason, _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine is never initialized and is actually a NULL pointer. Naturally, this hardfaults immediately.The problem with the init seems to be around line 296 to 358. There are a number of #if defined (***) macros that control which functions are assigned to _handle->CAD_PtrStateMachine depending on whether _SNK, _SRC, or _DRP are defined in the project. It looks like CubeMx is defining _DRP when one of the ports is a sink and the other is a source even though neither port is actually configured for dual role. This activates the code path at line 298 bu
