HelloI'm using a NUCLEO-STM32F446RE and a X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1. And the used Motor Profiler version is ver 1.3.2 (MC SDK 5.4.5).I changed the IHM08M1 according to UM1996 page 6 (Removed Capacitors C3, C5 and C7, Set Jumpers JP1 and JP2 closed and J5 &J6 on 3-Sh side).Additionally are on the IHM08M1 J9 open and JP3 closed. The motor is attached to IHM08M1 with U on Out1, V on Out2 and W cable on Out3.The NUCLEO-STM32F446RE Jumpers are configured as mentioned in UM1996 to JP1 open, JP6 closed and JP5 on E5V side. The settings in the Motor Profiler are as in the Datasheet of the motor on    3 Pole Pairs,    4500 RPM Max Speed (motor's datasheet has this value as speed - no load)   16 Apk max Current (that's the Peak Current in the motor's datasheet)   48 V VBUS (the rated Voltage of the motor)   SM-PMSM Magnetic (assumed, as no Ld/Lq-ration is mentioned in the datasheet)Running the Motor Profiler with this configurat

Hi,I'm testing IIS3DWB MEMS accelerometer. It is set FIFO in continuous mode and FIFO watermark WTM[7:0] = 256.FIFO threshold interrupt on INT1 pin is enabled. The uC reads 256 data (7 bytes each) from FIFO_DATA_OUT_TAG as soon as INT goes high. Data is correct. After that the uC reads DIFF_FIFO_[7:0], it has a value >256 so it seems that it didn't decrement. Thus it never interrupts again.Should the counter DIFF_FIFO_[7:0] decrement every data is read? Thanks

ST-LINK V2 Programmer NOT working for STM32G0B1KET6NKindly help me to upload the programHere i attached the schematic for your reference.

I had to reinstall Windows on my PC. I made a backup of my projects and after everything was running I've downloaded and installed the latest STM32CubeIDE version. I'm trying to import my TouchGFX project back to the new workspace but it isn't compiling anymore. The reported error is: cannot find -l:libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.ac:\st\stm32cubeide_1.5.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.7-2018-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: cannot find -l:libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.aAny thoughts?

If I open "Help > Check for Updates", I encounter an "Insufficient access privileges to apply this update" error.I installed by following this guide:https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00603964-stm32cubeide-installation-guide-stmicroelectronics.pdfAnd running the following command:sudo sh st-stm32cubeide_1.4.0_7511_20200720_0928_amd64.deb_bundle.shI'm then able to launch the IDE from the OS GUI, just like any other app.To update, do I need to launch STM32CubeIDE as root from CLI and then navigate to the update dialog?sudo /opt/st/stm32cubeide_1.4.0/stm32cubeideOr will that mess things up more? If there are special update instructions for Linux, the guide should include those. A workaround is to re-download and re-install the IDE, but doing that for every update is not ideal. And in this case, there's no way to download 1.4.2. The latest available is still 1.4.0. https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html

I have Timer 2 interrupt and an UART 4 interrupt for reading from a GPS module. But they don't work with each other. When I disable Timer 2 interrupt UART 4 interrupt starts to work.I did set Timer 2 interrupt preemption priority to 1 and UART 4 interrupt preemption priority to 0. And nothing changed. If I understood it correctly it looks like Timer interrupt is so fast and distrupts the UART interrupt. But again If I understood it correctly with preemption priority settings software shouldn't call Timer interrupt when in UART interrupt because UART interrupt has a priority. What I'm doing wrong in here? Thank you for reading.

According to the subject, I found I can't enter to the stop2 mode ,when i run the ble stack (APPE_Init() ) in p2p_server. I tried to use HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); behind the aci_gap_set_non_discoverable(); but it wasn't worked . What program i need to add?Thank you very much.

I am finding it difficult to source an external crystal for the Nucleo-64 board (The F103RB). The footprint for the X3 crystal calls for a lead pitch of 5.08mm however this seems to be very uncommon. Most of the crystals out there specifiy a lead pitch of 4.88.Now, looking at the user guide for the Nucleo-64 boards, it mentions a part from HongKong crystal, 9SL8000016AFXHF0, which is:Not useful for me as I want to be able to use a different frequency crystalThe actual datasheet for that HongKong crystal specifies the lead pitch as 4.88mm  Perhaps there an updated PCB design that has not made its way into the CAD resources section of the Nucleo-64 product page for the Nucleo F103RB?

I am starting a project which involves a CMOS camera. I only need to take still images, not video. I would greatly prefer being able to use a microcontroller over an SBC or FPGA. STMicro used to have an STM32F4 with a camera daughter card, but it appears it has been discontinued. Is there some similar dev kit at allows the integration of a camera to an MCU?

Hello everyone,i am currently trying to get the can bus on my Nucleo-F767ZI running. Now i got a problem that every time i sent a message via CAN (from my PCANView) which is longer than two bytes i got a Bus-Off error, but if byte 2 is not empty i can sent messages with more bytes. Maybe someone here can explain to me what i am doing wrong. If you need everything else for helping me, i will upload the requested files.Thank you for your time and help.

When attempting to add an accelerometer to the LoRaWAN_End_Node program, on the SPI1 interface, I find that it works (in polled mode) until the board sleeps and is woken with an interrupt. Then the SPI1 Control Register 1 and Control Register 2 are changed (so the accelerometer can't be accessed).I have spent ages chasing this, as the exact nature of the corruption changes as my code changes. Because the corruption showed as soon as an interrupt happens (GPIO (button press), timer, subGHz radio) I assumed the problem was related to interrupts. Then I figured the corruption might be due to activity just before the interrupt, as the chip is put in a low power state. Sure enough, changing LOW_POWER_DISABLE from 0 to 1 in sys_conf.h makes the problem vanish.Note the corruption varies and sometimes there is no corruption: CR1 can change from 0x035f to 0x0040 or to 0x0000 and CR2 can change from 0x1700 to 0x0700. The values are the same for a given build. It is almost as though it is code-po

I would like to know if touchgfx is portable in other microcontrollers or is it strongly related to ST products? Thanks a lot

Hi, I am working on CVEs and open anomalies analysis for STM32 software to see if there are any recent fixes (in past 1-2 years) which may impact our software and we need to include them.I am going through the questions asked in community forum. But a lot of them are not related to STM 32 MCU software for ex: which are for STM32 Cube software. Can anyone help in segregating these questions only for STM32 MCU software?

Dear MEMS and Sensors (but also wider) community,Often this technical community is mainly a platform for a question-and-answer exchange among experts, but it can also be an opportunity to share ideas about new applications with existing sensor or -also- about new sensors, and to propose them directly to STMicroelectronics company.Sometimes you might had the feeling that a particular documentation, a specific application, or even a sensor or an entire technology are missing on the market. If this is the case, there are two channels for this activity (Share Your Activities and Idea Zone. But, especially if your purposes have a more "private" flavor, now you have also the possibility to send your comments/purposes -mainly focused on sensors and related ecosystems (new technology, applications in the field of AI and IoT, documentation)- to this email --> eleon.borlini@st.comFrom a do-ut-des to a community logic.

Hello Dear Experts,I have strange behavior on my STM3210 board.I flash my binary using STLink and it works well. Then I toggle BOOT0 pin in order to use the standard bootloader in the system memory and I reset the system. The bootloader starts and listens UART.I send the "GO" command over UART from the CubeProgrammer app (no flashing/reading, only "GO" command). In debugger I see that it jumps to the main() function as expected.BUT after calling a few functions it crashes somewhere and the PC register becomes "0x1fffeade".If I disable the BOOT0 pin and restart - everything works well again.I've no idea how to debug that, please help.Thank you.UPD: Thanks to @Community member just realized that "0x1fffeade" address is in the system memory region => Looks like the "crash" is actually "restart". By why does it restart?
