TLDR: Is there a simple way (or at least clear step-by-step instructions) to reset the P-NUCLE-WB55 back to the firmware it was delivered with?Full:I have a P-Nucleo-WB55 and am trying to develop a project with it. I ran the "Getting Started" demo on the back of the pack and it worked brilliantly, so I got in with my project development. This started with a simple project to run a sensor using the SPI interface which worked fine. I then went to try some BLE development which is why I got this board. Unfortunately, this is where my problems start. I was trying the BLE HeartRate demo and no matter what i did I couldn't get it to work. I followed the instructions for the FUS and BLE stack update and spent the next 24 hours thinking I had bricked the board as it would no longer do anything (I followed the ST instructions verbatim). I finally managed to get the update to work by using a mix of instructions from here and reddit on top of the ST release notes.Anyway, I now have the most rect

The chip is:STM32F429When I was using the downloaded QRcode program, I found that the program crashed. The use method is as follows:

I'm mounting SPV1050 on PCB. In my application, I'm using a PV cell as input to the IC and takes the output from Vbatt to charge a battery. I am not using LDO or anything extra.. no use of store too. Is it right if I make Pin 5,6,7,8,11,12,17 open circuit?

I've build all part (linux, tf-a, u-boot) in stm32cubeide, acording to my device tree configured in cube.I would like to ask if there is short way to create sd-card image from cube gui? If not, could any one share way how to do that from build to ready image.I found this tutorial https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_populate_the_SD_card_with_dd_commandbut i can't find the script.i'm using vitrual machine with ubuntu 20.04Sory if question will be trival. I'm new in linux compilation. Usualy i used already prepared.

Hello , Is the BlueZ supported or added in the Distribution or developer or starter image?I tried running bluetoothd -v to get the version of the bluetoothd (and hence the Bluez which has this demon built) but I got this :root@stm32mp1:~# bluetoothd -v-sh: bluetoothd: not foundI then tried building the Distribution package which has this meta-connectivity layer where there is BlueZ is in add on Recipes ( https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_OpenSTLinux_release_note)bluez5meta-st/meta-st-openstlinux/recipes-connectivity/bluez5/bluez5_%.bbappendDo I have to add this layer? or will it be built by bitbake st-image-weston? Using bitbake st-image-weston and fishing the image gives the same result. Please tell the steps to build and use BlueZ and all the utilities it provides (bluetoothd, meshctl)Thanks in advance !Regards,D

I need to run TIM8 on Encoder mode. My encoder has two channels (A and B 90 degrees), So I have used two channel TIM_CHANNEL_1 and TIM_CHANNEL_2 as encoder input (it will use encoder as a clock for TIM8) and my timer is working fine and CNT is updating as I am rotating the encoder. Now, I want to use the INPUT CAPTURE SIGNAL for TIM8. So I am using TIM_CHANNEL_3 as input capture channel. I need to capture count at both edges, So I set CC1NP/CC1P = 0x11 but as per RM0385 page 687, I can't do that for both edges. It says "This configuration must not be used in encoder mode". But CubeMX IDE is allowing me to do so. I think I can't use TIM_CHANNEL_1 or TIM_CHANNEL_2 as INPUT CAPTURE with both EADGE detection, but I can use TIM_CHA

I am trying to set RTC-alarm event to wake up an STM32F103C8T6 from sleep-mode (not standby, not stop) and it works once, but subsequent alarms never wake the MCU up. Nothing I've tried seems to work and I no longer have any idea how to fix this. The code is on pastebin, since this forum-software doesn't let me paste it here: https://pastebin.com/AzHiAxhw

I'm trying to get ADC values from multiple channels of ADC1 of STM32F103C8T6 using DMA where conversion is triggered by TIM3 every 1ms. However, I'm not seeing the right values. I tried the polling mode and that worked fine. Here is the main function code so far and the settings in CubeMX. The full code is here. What am I missing? int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_TIM2_Init(); MX_TI

Hello allI use ST25DV64K.If I2C communication is used to access EEPROM while APP is writing to EEPROM, it will cause an error on APP side. Therefore, I would like to check the status of the NFC tag when it is being written from APP.And while writing from APP I want not to access by I2C communication, how can I do this?Is it possible to find out by reading a register somewhere?I thought one of the "IT_STS_Dyn" would be set to "1" while writing the EEPROM of the NFC tag from APP, but they all stayed at "0".BRMorooka

How can I configure a Run configuration for flashing that doesn't also break and throw me into the debugger? Note how all the relevant options in my Run configuration are greyed out. How can I enable them?

I am using STM32H750 MCU . I configured 14 GPIO as interrupt and handle in HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) function. In few GPIO pin number is same and different port .(PA6 , PI6 and PJ6).How to find proper interrupt PIN?

I've run into another hurdle I don't seem to be able to solve myself while trying to learn embedded STM32 programming. I have a simple test program that transmits characters over a UART with the RX and TX pins looped together and receives them using interrupts. When I transmit the data using HAL_UART_Transmit, I can process the received characters in my IRQHandler fine. But when I use HAL_UART_Transmit_IT, my IRQHandler puts 2 characters in my receive buffer for every character I transmit. I'm pretty sure this is because my IRQHandler is getting called for every character transmitted and every character received. You can see how I tried to only process received characters in my IRQHandler below but it hangs up after a few characters. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or any ideas on a better way to do this will be greatly appreciated.ThanksPS In the long run, I'd like to make this work with DMA and end the transfer using the character match interrupt. I've got that working on a STM32H7

Hi Everyone! We have two RFM98PW LoRa Modules and we successfully can communicate with these modules from more than 9 kilometers. But when we change our frequency from 434 to about 433.663 we cannot communicate very well. It just *****. Using these LoRa modules with an Atmega2560 and STM32F446RET6. In Atmega, so in library that we are using setFrequency function to change frequency. Is it enough to change freq with just a function. Do we need to change anything else like bandwidth? When we change the frequency the frequency error jumps to 32 kHz from 1 kHz in the receiver serial port.Library: https://github.com/SMotlaq/LoRaThanks.

HiWe have a board with STM32F769BIT6 MCU. When we drive the board with 3.3V, MCU current consumption is about 400~450 mA and it gets really hot! When we drive the board with voltages below 3V, for example 2.5V, it takes about 20~30 mA and stays cool and fully functional. In the datasheet it is stated that the operating voltage range is 1.8 to 3.6. We have designed our board based on 3.3V but this high current consumption and high temperature is not accepted for us.Our design is completely based on STM32F769I-EVAL. Only the package is different. We are using STM32769BI (LQFP208) whereas the evaluation board is using STM32F769NI (TFBGA216). We have declared all IO pins as analog inputs so as to avoid accidental current draining.Does anyone have similar experience? Are we missing any point here? Thanks in advance

I designed my robot control system using STM32MP157f-K2 board I use the M4 core to read an IMU through SPI, read encoders and generate PWM for controlling the motors by using timers. I use A7 to read USB vision cameras, read a radar by using CAN bus, and read a lidar using ethernet. After processing the data, it sends the results to M4 for fusing with encoder and gyrometer data to make better control decisions.I have the M4 firmware created using STM32CubeMx, and a A7 application compiled in linux. I expect them to communicate one way from A7 to M4 through virtul_uart0. I haven't been able to test the codes since I don't know how to start the Me firmware, When I loaded it directly from STM32CubeMx, I got into problems I had to reflush the board. My questions are two, and I will appreciate any advice(1) How can I open the Linux shell on the on-board LCD screen instead of mapping it to my computer using STLink(2) How can I start both the A7 application and M4 firmware automatically and d

Hi Experts,Has anybody tried configuring the ST25R3916 in Card Emulation mode using external MCU using SPI bus ? I was looking for what register/s need/s modifications ?Thank you for the help in advance.regards.

I'm trying to send and receive Unstructured Vendor Defined Messages with the ST USB-PD stack but there is very little information in the documentation about the API.I have found that I need to call USBPD_PE_UVDM_RequestMessage after which the stack will fire the USBPD_VDM_SendUVDM callback. However, the stack usually calls this function more than once, and it's not clear how to send more than 1 VDO.Am I supposed to copy all of the data to the address given by pVDO or only copy 1 VDO each time the function is called? What is the maximum number of VDOs that I can send? Why does the stack call this function more than once when I can see on a PD traffic analyzer that only 1 message is sent over the wire?Is there some document or example that actually explains how to use UVDMs? It seems like VDMs are mostly just used to enable DisplayPort support. I need to send small arbitrary messages between several boards connected with USB-PD.@Yohann M. I stripped out the function params on the i

Hello community, how are u?Hope everyone is well and safe =)I'm developing an application using SBSFU. While testing the examples (withoout provisioning a AESKEY, only flashing SBSFU engine) i could always return my microcontroller to factory, just changing the RDP option byte in STM32CubeProgrammer. After doing that, all code of my microcontroller was erased and i was able to use it normally again. My problems began when i provisioned AES KEY to CM0 CPU.To return to factory, i tried to do the same procedure i described above, but when i try to flash a new firmware i keep receiving a message from IDE that "Flash erase was not possible in sector 1-79", even though i'm able to erase and read the flash using STM32CubeProgrammer. All my write protections, read protection and PCROP are disabled. I'm not able to flash a firmware using STM32CubeProgrammer aswell, i get a message of "Flash download error".Previously the AESKey provisioning i was able to factory reset, now i'm not and to make ma

Can there be a 2d barcode reader app or program on your computer or phone?

Hi all,I am trying to achieve DDR data transfer between M4 and A7.So I followed How to exchange data buffers with the coprocessor - stm32mpu article and built a yocto image. I have stripped down the logic analyzer application : here . On CM4 side it just transfers data from a another MCU pushing in data at UART7 and transferring that via DMA to DDR buffer. SDB Driver unchanged. On the Application side , I have removed all GTK related things and just stripped it down to receive data to DDR buffer and print to a console.I have few questions of concerns: In case of the CM4 code provided here : LinkThere no support in the latest cube-mx to create an RPMSG_HDR_HandleTypeDef type object which might be labelled as /dev/tpmsg-sdb type in user space application.Although the data structure is similar to VIRT_UART_HandleTypeDef. So I went ahead and made and rpmsg-sdb object of the later type. Now when I run my stripped down application part of attached zip. I get below error on A7-console : CA7 :
