When I start the debugger of my program (c++), a function gets called even beforethe debugger halts at first default breakpoint (usually at HAL_Init).The name of this function is getElapsed (returns double, no parameters) and its apublic member function of my custom class named Clock. The funny thing is that ifI rename the function (for example getElapsedEx) then it does not get called anymore.Additional information:- It exists a global object of Clock but there are no member calls in global scope.- I think this strange call just happens when using the debugger.- I identified the strange function call by placing a breakpoint at the beginning of thefunction body before I start the debugger. - Microcontroller: STM32H743VITHow is it possible that a function gets called even before the first default breakpoint? And why does it change the behavior if I change the name of the function? Linker problem?

Hi ST community,I'm working with NUCLEO L432KC and in my application I need to use I2C1 port. Using STM32CubeMX to generate the project, I could see that when I enable the I2C1 port, Automatically the CubeMX allocate the PA9 and P10 pins. For my application this is a good choice. Then, for the aim of my application, I would like to use the PB6 and PB7 pins like GPIO Output pins. But I could see that when I choice this two pins, my application does not work, while if I use other pins like GPIO Output pins the application works correctly. For this reason, I would like to know if this problem is related to the fact that the I2C1 port can be available also through the PB6 and PB7, or if the problem is caused by other reason. From the UM1956 Rev 5 I note these two advise:SB16:ON -> STM32 PB6 is connected to CN4 pin 7 for I2C SDA support on Arduino Nano A5. In such case STM32 PB6 does not support Arduino Nano D5 and PA6 must be configured as input floating.SB18:ON -> STM32 PB7 is connec

The cubemx cannot configure the ADC synchronous clock mode when the system clock is 400MHz,But use 200MHz or 480MHz is OK, why? my cubemx Version is 6.3.0this is my ioc file

Hi I have list of unused pins need to configure as a GPIO, and some as a AF's, do we have any driver which shall facilated unused pins by default set pins state., we have in imx6 IOMUX which does that job in kernel., in mp1 i didnt find that.

What is the production process (nm) of the STM32WL MCU's ? We are looking at designing a system that will have to operate in a possible radiation encvironment and the nm size of the process will have a bearing on this.

I am wondering wether this device offers a self-test feature similar to its low-g cousin, the LIS331. I noticed that there is an app note attached on the product page of the H3LIS331DL that specifically describes the self-test feature in ST’s MEMS sensors, but nothing in its datasheet refers to a self-test feature. Thanks in advance!

On the STEVAL-STWINKT1B board, and using the HSDatalog firmware, it uses about 60mA in idle state. I have disconnected the sensors, and the uC, and turned off the SD card power lines, but it's still at around 2mA. Does anyone know where this power is going? Ideally, I want to create an application for the board when it wakes up for 1 minute in every hour, logs the data to the SD card, and then goes into a nearly dormant low power state to preserve the battery.

Hello, I want to use a STM32L4P5 for reading and writing data to 2 SD Cards. In the STM32CubeL4 repo, I find in the FATFS/src/drivers folder the files sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv1.c and sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv2.cEach file calls a different BSP versions. Why are there two versions of this file? When I use the BSP generated by the STMCubeIDE, the generated functions seem to be compatible to the bspv1 version. In the example applications in the STMCubeL4 package, I also haven't found any project that uses the bspv2.Is there any way to get the corresponding BSP driver, that is compatible with the sd_diskio_dma_template_bspv2.c?

SummaryAt the end of the day, my issue is missing something in documentation. The lesson here, is test thoroughly. Just because it works for a few minutes, doesn't mean forever. Anyway, I've been running >3mA through the pins that are limited before of this "power switch" thing. I was wondering if anyone knows more about and how/why these pins are connected like this?DetailsI'm running two different boards with the same chip (STM32L431) and firmware. I have some debug LEDS on my board that flash 1sec on, 1sec off in open-drain configuration. In one case its an RGB led where I flash blue and green (10mA each)In the other case its a while LED that shares the same 2 pins (20mA total)Over time, it seems that this eventually burns out the MCU (first getting hot, then breaking all together). According to DS11453 Table 20. Current characteristics, you can easily run LEDS like this.  However!. I chose were PC13, PC14 and PC15. While is says Nothing at all about this in Electrical Chara

Please help to find out whether STM32L011F3U6TR mcu boot0/PB9 pin has internal pull-up/pull-down resistor feature. There is no mention that boot0 pin is special in this respect, ie no internal pull-up/pull-down resistor.  On my board, unable to bring this pin high even though boot0/PB9pin is configured with pull-up resistor. Any workaround fix if it doesn’t have.

Hello, sorry for asking this but I'm new to operating STM32 microcontrollers and the IDE it came with. I wrote a simple code to read the pin state and write to an LED once detected. All runs well on debugging. The problem for me is that when I unplug the USB connection (the board is powered through a power supply) the code suddenly stops and no LEDs light up after the button is pressed. Is there a step I'm missing like compiling to memory? I've spent some time looking for an answer but sadly I got no luck in solving this. If possible, could someone lead me towards finding a solution for this? Thank you :)

I have configed the FLASH_CR，SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, 1<<27);I want to know how to clear bank1 securable area.

Calling the ai_instrumodel_data_weights_get() function has problems with the AI_BUFFER_OBJ_INIT struct in "ai_platform.h". I'm following this guide exactly step by step: https://www.digikey.com/en/maker/projects/tinyml-getting-started-with-stm32-x-cube-ai/f94e1c8bfc1e4b6291d0f672d780d2c0What I don't understand is the fact that an initialization tells me that it has no members. What is this based on to claim this error? It's defined right there, i should be able to define whatever I want. That's like saying "int i = 0; is undefined". No, it's defined right here. To reproduce, copy the code in the link and run it with Cube IDE 1.7.0 and X Cube AI 7.0.0

Hi,I working Stm32f767zi mcu with HMI screen and I need to make communication using RJ45 interface using tcp ip. I need to know that which example is works for it, I have searched and checked a tcp ip server example code to get new incoming hmi connection on stm32f767zi RJ45 jack. But little confused between the connection setup and the selected example for working & testing initially.I request you to please confirm my above setup, if I am going wrong and please suggest proper way to start communication between stm32f767zi rj45 jack to hmi rj45 jack direct connection.Looking forward for the support. Thanks & Regards

Are here any example projects on how AcousticBF library should be configured exactly for PCM mode? There are plenty of examples for PDM mode configuration, but none for PCM, which is frustrating, since the documentation on this library is not very explicit. When I'm trying to configure it, AcousticBF_FirstStep function fills only 1/3 of the output buffer, so the output sound is very distorted. Any help is appreciated.

I purchased P-NUCLEO-53L5A1 including X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 and NUCLEO-F401RE.And I assembled them and connect to PC, and then I installed its driver and reboot windows 10.When connecting, the explorer open the mass storage drive (D: (F401RE)).However, VL53L5CX GUI shows no list of VL53L5CX using X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 as the belowEven after pressing the refresh button several times, the result was the same. I changed the driver's port number from COM15 to COM2.It's because COM1, COM3~COM15 were already used. After this, the result was the same. When I use X-NUCLEO-53L0A1 instead of X-NUCLEO-53L5A1, VL53L0X_GUI works well.Even after changing NUCLEO-F401RE with X-NUCLEO-53L0A1's instead of X-NUCLEO-53L5A1's, VL53L5A1_GUI shows no list.Even after updating ST-Link, VL53L5A1_GUI shows no list.Even after copying 53L5A1_MultiSensorRanging.bin to D:, VL53L5A1_GUI shows no list. Why does this happen? Is X-NUCLEO-53L5A1 broken? Thanks in advance.

Hello,I experienced a phenomenon in which the USB port was not reconnected. This phenomenon occurs when a USB port is connected to the product and reboots.I check my device manager. When i turn off product, com port also disappear.and product reboot then com port appear. But i can't receive any data. When i reconnect USB cable then communication work well. SummaryUSB virtual com port can't receive data when device reboot. In the same state as above, USB cable reconnect then USB connect well. I need your support.Thanks. best regards.

Hello! I am trying to simulate an octave model on a microcontroller and ran into a snag I thought I'd get some help with. So I have an FFT I am running on a sample of data (we'll say 4096 bytes). In octave, I'm using an FFT of the sample (where the sample is a 1 x 8192 array):fft_data = fft(sample);Pretty straight forward function. I have the data extracted to a csv file for comparison to ensure the data matches up. I am now trying to replicate the fft on a microcontroller. I thought I had set it up correctly from a few forum posts but I can't tell if I'm using the wrong type of fft, the wrong data size, etc. Below is essentially what I have on the microcontroller:float32_t sample_flt[4096] = {0}; float32_t fft_out_buf[4096] = {0};   arm_rfft_fast_instance_f32 fft_handler; arm_rfft_fast_init_f32(&fft_handler, 4096);   arm_rfft_fast_f32(&fft_handler, (float32_t *)sample_flt,(float32_t *)fft_out_buf,0);When I'm looking at the contents of the sample, I'm getting sample[0

HiThe new dynamic graph widget is great, but is there a setting / different graph widget that will allow me to plot data based on a set of coordinate points (x and y)?For example, with the dynamic graph widget there is an addDataPoint(y) method. Is there a similar method for plotting data that doesn't have fixed x coordinate intervals? Thanks

I had STM32WB55CGU7 chips with original factory FUS version 0.5.3. I upgraded it to version 1.0.1 successfully, then I tried to upgrade to latest released version 1.0.2, but I get "Error: Firmware not authentic!"

In former CubeMX versions an Clock to ADC of 400MHz was possibleNow I am working on CubeMX V 6.3.0 with STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.9.0.The maximum Clock frequency I can adjust is now 79MHz (selected clock source is the PLL2) What is the meaning of the "79 to ADC (MHz)" exactly. If, it is the input for the prescaler of the ADC, why it is limited to 79MHzWenn > 79 MHz is selected, CubeMX shows an error. If it is the maximum Clock frequency of the ADC, why is it not limited to 50Mhz as discribed in the datasheet for the V designV-design is also selected

I see that ODR mentioned in datasheet is 26.7Khz but my doubt is that whether it is in each direction (x,y,z) or combined for all 3 axis. This is because when i try to measure the time taken to take samples then i get it around 9000Hz in each direction. I am using data polling technique via STM32 F4 controllerIf it is so then how BW of 6.3Khz is achieved
