Hello I am trying to send hex values over UART with HAL_Transmitin the cubeIDE I do:HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2,(0xF << 4) | (0x8), 1,10);However I receive in Hterm0xC5I cannot make sense over it. Sending text with " some text" works fineHAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2,"some text", 9,10);What am I doing wrong??Thanks and stay healthy

Hello,We are developing a STEM-based educational product. We have just received our initial test PCB for V2.In our PCB for sensing the pressure, we have used an LPS22HB pressure sensor, I am attaching the circuit diagram used for the LP22HB in the PCB.We are using ESP32-Wroom32d as a controller and I2C communication to communicate with the LPS22HB. But unfortunately, we are not able to communicate with the LPS22HB. After a lot of tests and failed attempts, we tried a simple I2C scanner code to check if there is any I2C address-related issue. But the results of the I2C scanner were shocking to us like all the rest I2C based sensors were showing their address properly except the LPS22HB. That means it is not even communicating over I2C. Here is the image of the I2C scanning result. All different sensors are showing their address except the pressure sensor. After taking a closer look at the datasheet again we noticed about the pin3 of LPS22HB. Pin description table tells that we

Hi,Master:platform: STM32G030C8T6Block diagram: As shown in the following diagram, STM32G030C8 as a battery cabinet communicates with 6 power banks through SDA_X. In addition, USART2 (Tx/Rx) communicates with the host, and USART1 (Tx_1/Rx_1) communicates with other slaves.problem:There is no abnormality in the program, and the USART2 Tx pin of some cabinets cannot send high level in batch products.analyze:1. Disconnect the connection with the host and other slaves, the USART2 Tx pin cannot send high level2. Under keil, the jlink online monitoring program, reset the program (the kernel and peripherals are reset), the program runs the following code in a single step:int main(void) { __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_2 | GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct); while (1)

Hello! I am trying to get the USART1 (only using as a UART) for the STM32F411CE. I have been doing some studying on the STM32407VG and got the UART to work with straight register manipulation. (That was done here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000017PE8JSAW/why-does-the-debugger-not-respond-after-ue-bit-is-set-for-uart4)But I figure I try to learn some HAL now and repeat the same exercises with a STM32 blackpill (STM32F411CE).Here is my code:https://github.com/BitBangGaming/Piggy-Pad-Firmware-Workspace/tree/main/N64_Piggy_Pad_Cable/SrcI did look around at some tutorials and I am not sure what I am missing! I am able to enter the main loop but it seems as though my function for transmitting times out and never gets a chance to send out an data. Here is my wiring as well: https://github.com/BitBangGaming/Piggy-Pad-Firmware-Workspace/blob/main/N64_Piggy_Pad_Cable/stm32F411CE_blackpill_n64.pngAny hints are greatly appreciated.Note: The "main" and "comms_n64_console" modules are w

I recently got my STM32F407VG uC working with UART4. I can receive a byte and send a byte. Though I have been reading on how to acquire more than one byte at a time. It seems as though people like to use DMA. I am perfectly okay with polling for my experiments and projects.I have been looking through the UART section of the reference manual. I see a lot of mention of multibuffering with DMA but I cannot seem to find how big the UART buffer is. I am trying to do something similar to what serial LCDs do where they have a command prefix and then an actual command with optional parameters. In my mind, there would be a buffer of fixed size that would hold these byte command requests from another device transmitting to the uC. I could read each byte command in this buffer one by one and take the correct action for each one. For example, the Arduino I used had a 64 byte ring buffer and grabbing one byte at a time was possible.Note: I am not a professional firmware programmer or engineer. Just

Our project requires some post-processing of the SREC at compile time. I would like to load the regular ELF file for symbols, but write the SREC to memory. It seems the IDE only accepts ELF files, which I cannot generate. How do I program an SREC as part of launching a debug configuration? I am using a Segger JLINK Ultra +

How can I view / display table of variables in STM32CubeMonitor, as in STM Studio?Any help appreciated

HelloIm using steval mksbox 1vs1 for vibration analysis. I have taken measurements with motor in movement and withe the motor stopped. At first I supose that with the motor in stop mode, the acc values in the 3 axis should be near to 0. In other thread I read that "You should at least see some differences between x and z axis when the device is flat on a surface (x almost close to 0, y almost close to 1g)."Can you tell me which should be the normal values for the lm6dsox when there is no movement?Thank you

Hi, it is possible that the LSM6DS3 may be obsolete but i really need some help in detectinga tilt. I have read the AN4650 application note and followed the instructions.the tilt example setup is pretty simple.// Tilt detection setup // //***************************************************************************// void LSM6DS3::tiltDetect() { // embedded function Tilt detecton CTRL10_C - 00111000 writeRegister(LSM6DS3_ACC_GYRO_CTRL1_XL, 0x20); // turn on the accelerometer/ ODR_XL=26Hz writeRegister(LSM6DS3_ACC_GYRO_CTRL10_C, 0x3C); // enable embedded functions writeRegister(LSM6DS3_ACC_GYRO_TAP_CFG, 0x20); // enable tilt detection writeRegister(LSM6DS3_ACC_GYRO_MD1_CFG, 0x02); // tilt detector interrupt driven to INT1 pin writeRegister(LSM6DS3_ACC_GYRO_CTRL10_C, 0x38); }and then assuming that i don't want to use INT1 and INT2, I can check the value of TILT_IA bit of the FUNC_SRC registerwhich I implemented it like this// Tilt detection check // //******************************

Hi,I used STM32CubeMx to config USB VCOM device on STM32F469 discovery kit and it worked well. Then I want to add another class (eg HID\Auddio), but STM32CubeMx only allows config one type of class. If I change the class, then all libraries about the last configured class will be removed. So, my question is how to config library for multi USB class by using STM32CubeMx? Good day,Young

Hello,I am using STM32G030F6, use HSE, but when I set the system clock, PA14 change to OSC_IN but while PA15 change to OSC_EN, and I can't find any specification of this definition, can I use it as OSC_OUT?

On a new product we plan to use an STM32U5 MCU to manage a Wireless (WiFi/BT) module and a micro SD card.As the Wireless module has an SDIO interface we have to use the both SDMMC interfaces of the STM32U5.Does anyone has already done this kind of stuff? Even on another STM32.We plan to produce a prototype board and test it with the module and the micro SD card. But, I'm afraid that there is some incompatibility between SDIO and SD protocol when they are used at the same time.Or some unexpected limitation.

I have two STM32H7 designsSTM32H743IIK, Clock = 480MHz/240MHzSTM32H743ZIT, Clock = Can't set 480MHz/240MHz (on Nucleo-H743ZI2)Using STM32CubeMX 6.3.0 - Clock Resolver always seems to always choose lower MHz like 120 or 64MHz- I tried a new blank project but gives same limits, so doesn't seem to be a module I'm using.- Entering 480 at "480 MHz max" or 240 at "240 MHz max" gives a popup="Frequency is out of range for this VOS range" - Starting at left and keeping everything clean ends up with 480MHz at "480MHz max" highlighted as error - why? Hovering over it says "D1CPRE clock frequency must be <=300MHz", but works OK on my first H7 project with 480MHz/240MHz. What am I doing wrong, or is there a bug in MX?Paul

I'm trying to add a authentication mechanism with a symmetric key stored in the system memory but I'm not sure if it's the right way and i also don't know how to store this key in the system memory.I read about SBSFU but not sure about it.Kindly advise me on how could i do it please. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am doing these steps: I made a new projectadded a button with a random image and a text labelcompiled and executed opened the project in stm32cubeide added into the project some libraries that I am using to read sensors compiled and executed on the target with stm32cubeideRemoved the button compiled and executed with stm32cubeide [ERROR: make: *** No rule to make target '../Application/User/generated/image_Dark_Slider_Vertical_Medium_Slider3_Vertical_fill.cpp', needed by 'Application/User/generated/image_Dark_Slider_Vertical_Medium_Slider3_Vertical_fill.o'. Stop.]but if I compile with touchgfx to the target, it works without errors. Touchgfx 4.17.0 stm32cubeide Version: 1.6.1How I can dig into the problem? I also tried to regenerate the code and update the ioc file. Thanks

X-NUCLEO-IHM03A1 stepper motor control board seems not available anywhere, whatever the reseller, and they have no information about a future availability. I have found no other compatible motor driver that can replace it (my motor is 48V / 9A), so this board is critical for the project on which I am working. Do you have any information about the date of availability ? Where may I found some available boards ? Do you maybe have some spares at ST ?And in last chance, what can I use instead ?Thank you in advanceNicolas

Hi, I have some part with broken ST diode with label MDE GP743. Is this product still exist? where can i look for technical data for this part? Thanks

stm32f207zg (nucleo-f207zg)Hi, im trying to write into my DMA2 Stream0 CR register (mapped as 0x40026410).But that memory addr cannot be written not with my init code nor manually trough the STM32IDE debugging tools .Is there any memory protection or lock i am missing?

Posted on August 09, 2017 at 04:53I just wonder how to disable/enable all the interrupt of STM32L4xx by STM CUBE.I found this not mentioned in the CUBE hal UM.  I appreciate if someone can help me for this.

Hello together,I have a question regarding caching on AzureRTOS ThreadX/NetXDuo. At the moment I am switching from freeRTOS + lwIP to AzureRTOS ThreadX + NetXDuo. So far everything works but I have some questions regarding caching. I know that the ethernet 2 descriptiors DMARxDscrTab + DMATxDescrTabETH_DMADescTypeDef DMARxDscrTab[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT] __attribute__((section(".RxDecripSection"))); /* Ethernet Rx DMA Descriptors */ ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMATxDscrTab[ETH_TX_DESC_CNT] __attribute__((section(".TxDecripSection"))); /* Ethernet Tx DMA Descriptors */ uint8_t Rx_Buff[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT][ETH_MAX_PACKET_SIZE] __attribute__((section(".RxArraySection"))); /* Ethernet Receive Buffers */must be protected by the MPU to avoid caching due to DMA access. So far no problem, I have set the regon to "Device" so that they can't be cached. Now on AzureRTOS NetXDuo it seem that Rx_Buff is not needed as this is allocated by the general byte-pool of AzureRTOS. a. Is this assuption correct? In my case the b
