Hi All,I have a problem with bitmap caching. Below is the contextProcessor and Peripheral’s details:-STM32F429ZITX micro8 Mega bytes external SD RAM16 Megabytes SPI flash(not quad)Our use case:- We have GUI application with several screens(setup , functionality, presets …etc). The total assets size is of 11 Mega bytes which are stored in the SPI Flash. As our SD Ram is only 8 Mega bytes size we just want to dynamically copy the assets from SPI Flash screen by screen on demand to SD ram and try to display them.In order to achieve the above I followed below two linkshttps://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/scenarios/using-non-memory-mapped-flash/https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/caching-bitmaps/Steps I followed:-In the linker script I used below snippet and segregated all the assetsSRAM (xrw)     : ORIGIN = 0xd0061c8c, LENGTH = 7450KExtFlashSection :{*(

Hello,I’ve been trying to figure out how fast the machine learning core on the LSM6DSOX can generate an output once the condition for the change has occurred. I am working on a design where feature detection is needed in less than 50ms. I am using the Unico software and an STEVAL-MKI197V1 module with the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board. From reading the datasheet and the application note AN5259, my understanding of how the Machine learning core (MLC) works is the following: - samples are taken until the sampling windows is filled. - once the window is full, statistical parameters are calculated from the samples in the window. - at the start of the MLC period, the last stored statistical parameters calculated are used to evaluate the MLC decision tree. - if the decision tree result changes, the tree values is updated, and an interrupt is generatedLet’s consider the following case as an example: - a sensor output data rate of 833 Hz - a window length of 8 samples - a Machine learning core output d

Hi All,I have the following issue: Unable to get an STM32F769I USB OTG Device peripheral to be detected by a PC Host.Board: STM32F769I-DISCO (MB1225B)Host: x64-based PC running Windows 10 (Build 19043)Toolchain: STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0Firmware Package: STM32CubeF7 V1.16.1 / 12-February-2021I've successfully built the "MSC_Standalone USB Device Mass Storage (MSC)" application and flashed the board using ST-Link (CN16) connection to the PC. The board appears in the Windows Device Manager as Portable Device: DIS_F769NI. However, when I disconnect from CN16 and reconnect using the USB OTG HS port (CN15), the PC host does not detect the board in the Device Manager. Changing the CN3 jumper from STLK to USBHS makes no difference. I also have the same problem running the "STM32F769I-DISCO_UAC10-PLAY" example from the X-CUBE-USB_AUDIO package (aka STM32CubeExpansion_USBAudioStreaming_V1.0.0). In this example, the board should appear as a USB speaker on the PC. The board fails to be detected as a USB

I learned that the BootLoader of the STM32 system can update the firmware in the internal FLASH through USB UART CAN, etc. Can the same operation be performed if the external FLASH mapped through QSPI is used?

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing wellI am trying to setup the STM32H743ZI's ADC for a 5 channel Continuous scan. The 5 scans will be used forThe Input voltage - Channel 0The Input Current - Channel 1The output Voltage - Chanel 2The output Current - Channel 3Internal Temperature Sensor - Channel 18Essentially I just want the ADC to continuously scan these 5 channels and have the DMA transfer it into a buffer so it can be read by software. The way I want to read the buffers is via Polling as I am using a RTOS.The problem I am having is that the EOS flag for the ADC and the DMA1 TC4 flag is setting but the data is not transferring into the DMA buffer. I see the data shifting around in the DR register in the ADC3 however.I double checked the DMA, the memory address is within the right region of memory for the DMA to see. I have no idea what's happening has I never really use the ADC for a sequential scan before. I was hopping if anyone can see if I mis-setup or if I have to do something

I am currently attempting to port a product's older firmware that used the Standard Peripheral Driver libraries over to using the HAL libraries for greater portability between different MCUs. I a currently using the STM32L151QEHx. In the older firmware the I2C is initialized using the following initialization structure: /* Configure I2C settings within custom init function */ I2cConfig.I2C_ClockSpeed = I2cClockSpeed; //passed into init function I2cConfig.I2C_Mode = I2C_Mode_I2C; I2cConfig.I2C_DutyCycle = I2C_DutyCycle_2; I2cConfig.I2C_OwnAddress1 = 0; I2cConfig.I2C_Ack = I2C_Ack_Enable; I2cConfig.I2C_AcknowledgedAddress = I2C_AcknowledgedAddress_7bit;Of interest is the code on line 6 where the I2C_Ack value is set. The ability to set this option does not appear to be available in STM32CubeMX or in the HAL libraries, but something similar does appear in the LL drivers included with the HAL libraries. Am I missing a HAL defined way to set the I2C_CR1 ACK bit, or is this simply not availa

With my pin assignments ADC IN14 shows a conflict with PB0. Which is incorrect according to the datasheet. The conflict should be with PC5. IN15 also shows a conflict with PB0 which is correct.

I have an STM3210E-EVAL board that I use to gain experience with an SD card. To generate a software template, I use STM32CubeMX 6.3 and the STM32F103 package.1.8.4. Keil MDK is used to compile the project. To work with the file system, I use FatFs from STM32CubeMX. My test program (mounting the file system, writing a text file and then reading it) works correctly only in SDIO 1 bit mode. When switching the SDIO to 4 bit mod in STM32CubeMX, i get FR_DISK_ERR occurs during file opening and writing operations. I use SD cards with a capacity of 128 MB, 2 GB and 4 GB. The File_Demo project from Keil MCBSTM32E board adapted by me for STM3210E-EVAL board works successfully with all my SD cards with the SDIO 1 bit and 4 bit bus.Tell me what can be done to activate the SDIO 4 bit width mode...Problem solved! The CD card has started working at a frequency of 4 MHz!

Is it ok to use interrupt vectors which are 'reserved' inside or even beyond the vector table? We need to put an RTOS semaphore from an interrupt with higher priority than kernel scheduler interrupt (which is forbidden). Currently we use an interrupt vector of an unused peripheral which we set to the same IPL as the kernel and trigger it by software from the high priority interrupt. Service routine of the low priority interrupt then puts the semaphore. Setting both to the same IPL is not a solution because in high priority interrupt we need to do some tasks as soon as possible and then eventually put the semaphore. But can we use ANY interrupt vector, even if it's 'reserved'? Will NVIC service such interrupt? Can we extend the interrupt vector table by one item and use that vector?Or is there any cleaner way of doing that? Both PendSV and SVC (which would be otherwise pefect for that application) are taken by RTOS.

Hi, i'm using Yocto to build a custom openstlinux image for a stm32mp157d-dk1, but i would like to upload the image using the mass storage mode, enabled with u-boot, or something like that.

After opening 4.18.0. It stops working after being idle for a period of time, or after creating a new project, or after clicking on some blank areas, and there is no response. How to solve this? (the networked computer is normal, and the non networked computer often does not respond

I'm developing a schematic with the STM32L4R9ZIJ6 package (UFBGA144) for an embedded system that will use the DSI HOST API. However, this package doesn't seem to include the the VDD12DSI pin. What's this pin even for? and why is it on other packages like the LQFPs but not this one?

Hi,  Add a button on the swipeContainer, the swipeContainer cannot slide when the starting point of the gesture is on this button.

CubeMX allows one to enter clock frequencies and have all the registers to be set back calculated. Great! This saves much fiddling. However... is there anyway for the code to determine, for example, what the frequency if a clock going to the ADC is without doing all those calculations that CubeMX saved us from?

ST has a shipload of documents but I am not finding what I want.Is there a document with HALL/LL commands/syntax? If so, maybe I am not searching properly. How did you find it?JH

I will be working with some STM32F4 processors soon and so I am doing some reading ahead. What I am not clear on is if I use HAL to setup I/O or peripherals do I need to use STMCubeMX to set up the pins? Can STMCubeMX (pin editor?) be opened from IDE?MaryK

Have tried with earlier versions of CubeMX, different computer. Does the same thing. Do not see any use of the init structure (which is local). SD card is not initialized properly. Complete code generated is:tatic void MX_SDMMC1_SD_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN SDMMC1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END SDMMC1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN SDMMC1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END SDMMC1_Init 1 */ hsd1.Instance = SDMMC1; hsd1.Init.ClockEdge = SDMMC_CLOCK_EDGE_RISING; hsd1.Init.ClockBypass = SDMMC_CLOCK_BYPASS_DISABLE; hsd1.Init.ClockPowerSave = SDMMC_CLOCK_POWER_SAVE_DISABLE; hsd1.Init.BusWide = SDMMC_BUS_WIDE_1B; hsd1.Init.HardwareFlowControl = SDMMC_HARDWARE_FLOW_CONTROL_DISABLE; hsd1.Init.ClockDiv = 0; /* USER CODE BEGIN SDMMC1_Init 2 */   /* USER CODE END SDMMC1_Init 2 */   }  This seems incomplete to me. Trying to compare this code with the BSP driver code indicates that more code is needed somewhere.If there's a setting that I'm missing, I'

I am trying to run examples from the StmCubeF3 directory. I dbl click the project file and STM32CubeIDE comes up. When I try to build an error message states the makefile is not in the path. An ST document suggested moving my examples to a top level directory so I move them to C:\CubeF3. The makefiles are in the debug directory. Should I move then examples to the default workspace manually which is C:\Users\J\STM32CubeIDE\workspace_1.7.0? I thought directory paths would be resolved relative to project file location, maybe not.Maybe I extracted my examples to the wrong place or need to import them. As you can tell I am quite new here despite being older than dirt.I apologize that this is a bit of a repost but I asked it in a query that was too big with multiple questions and it has been marked as Answered so I figure it is dead there.John

Hello,I am using stm32f407VG Controller,In Ethernet communication Through LWIP+SNTP I want to achieve (SNTP clock),My Controller act as client (SNTP Clock client)In cubemx i cant find any source files related to sntp generated once after i choose SNTP option,I expect if any examples how to achieve (SNTP+LWIP) around any stm32 series will help me to understand better,How do i start ,regardssiva

The amount of reactive energy register is decreased while I expect it to be increased.I use a reference meter" to ensure the sign of reactive energy.what should I do?Could my stpm32 chip be fake?

Hello.I'm trying to enable LWIP (TCP/IP) in my TouchGFX project on H750B-DK board. I am able to successfully enable LWIP and ping my device without TouchGFX (on an empty project), but when I follow exactly the same steps, but on a TouchGFX project, the LWIP fails to initialize.I'm using the newest 3.0.6 version of H750B-DK template from TouchGFX. I edit it to my preferences and generate the code. Then I open the project from STM32CubeIDE folder in Cube and proceed to enable the LWIP in MX. I follow almost the same process as on an empty project. The only difference is that I have to delete PA2 pin that's assigned to LCD_RESET in order to enable Ethernet, and also I have to use MPU region 5, 6 and 7 instead o 0, 1 and 2, beacuse they are already defined by TouchGFX. I generate the code, then open TouchGFX project to regenerate the code. After that I proceed to add /* Modification start */ .lwip_sec (NOLOAD) : {  . = ABSOLUTE(0x30040000);  *(.RxDecripSection

I found nothing so far in product description or user manual for the Nucleo 144 (Nucleo-F303ZE) that specifies an IDE. When I tried to run an STM32CubeF3 example on the STM32CubeIDE it said the files were Nucleo type and needed to be converted. Is there a particular IDE to use for Nucleo boards?

I just received a Nucleo-F303ZE aka Nucleo-144. As the product suggested I download STM32CubeF3. There was also a large patch directory download. How is the patch to be applied? I am assuming I should copy the files and force overwrites.Thank you,John
