I am doing a project which requires ST25R95 reading distance operating about 30cm. I studied the EV kit of ST25R95 and implemented the circuit as a reference to design my system.Unfortuneately, the reading distance is still around 7cm. After several days of studying the AN5248 and tuning the STSW-ST25R003, I still can not get a breakthrough in a longer reading distance and better magnetic field performance. Is there any reference circuit design that I can study to enhance my design?PS. VPS_TX is connected to 5V, it suppose output power at 230mWreader antenna: Molex 1462360031tag model: ST25TV-ESEAL

When the button on the LCD is pressed, the relevant screen is displayed and data (6000 bytes) must be saved. When the button is pressed, the screen is displayed without any problem, but a DMA error occurred in the process of writing data to the memory using SPI DMA.DMA is applied to the display driver, and it is also applied to writing in memory (SPI).SPI DMA works fine if I disable the DMA used for display (disable DMA2_Stream0).Is there something wrong with the DMA settings?[SPI_DMA error is occurred when both DMAs are enabled][error flag]DMA2_HISR: FEIF4 (FIFO Error Interrupt Flag) setSPI5_SR: OVR (Overrun Error Flag) set[DMA Configurations][display driver using DMA2_Stream0]static void tft_flush_cb(lv_disp_drv_t * drv, const lv_area_t * area, lv_color_t * color_p) { // lv_disp_flush_ready(drv); // return; SCB_CleanInvalidateDCache();   /*Truncate the area to the screen*/ int32_t act_x1 = area->x1 < 0 ? 0 : area->x1; int32_t act_y1 = area->y1 < 0 ? 0 : area-&

Apparently I have a bad pointer somewhere that periodically kills some bytes in my itcm functions. It'd be really easy to find it if I could break on memory write. Does this feature exist with this tool and IDE?

I have a STM32F446VCT6 MCU running TouchGFX project communicating SPI to a LCD. The images are located in the external QSPI which is in memory mapped mode.Basically I have a few simple screens. Everything is running fine, except that after some random amount of seconds/minutes the MCU core freezes. No hard fault or other things is called. The power consumption drops.I was trying to catch something under debugging, but I cannot stop/pause the debugging. The MCU core is not responsive. Only asserting Reset pin helps. I have disabled the communication - this does not help. So it must be something in TouchGFX itself that triggers this freeze.Any ideas how to diagnose this issue?

Hi, I am trying to measure the amount of time between the rising edge on two different GPIOs using TIM5. one assumption I make is that one of those GPIOs will happen first. Actually 3 gpios are involved in the application, PA0, PA1 and PA2, PA2 is configured as an output, PA0 and PA1 are in alternate mode to be used as capture triggers for the TIM. PA0 and PA1 are both connected to some other system which Is the system I want to measure "response time of". PA2 is connected to PA0.The Tim is configured to fire an interrupt on the event on PA1. When this happens the ISR sends a message to a mailbox, containing the contents of CCR[0] and CCR[1]. So the approach goes like this:write a zero on PA2 and wait until PA0 and PA1 both read 0 (the SUT has to obey the protocol)clear the CCR registers and restart timer from 0write a one to PA2blocking wait on the mailbox for the message from ISR.So the intent here is to measure the time from writing a one to some external "SUT" and wait for it to re

Hi everybody!First of all sorry for my language. I just started to learning programming of STM32. My problem is that i made a delay function. I wanted to test it with the input capture mode. I setted the prescaler to 16000 - 1. I wanted to get an 1000 Hz sampling. When I start to debug the project as you can see in the microsecs_wrong.png file, the difference between the timestamps is 32.000.000. The interesting part is when the capture compare register reaches 4294967295 (2^32 - 1) it overflows and start to works properly (microsecs_proper_working.png). The difference between timestamps now is 2000. Why is that happening? Thanks for Your help!! :)

I am trying to understand how to control power on the stm32wb55. I am running the PWR_STANDBY_RTC example from the latest stm32cube. When in standby I am reading 900 uA. This seems high. What should I expect?

Hi,I am using ST25R3916 to make an RFID reader, but I don't know how to calculate the transmit power of its antenna. I am using a differential antenna design, as shown in the figure below:Hope to get somebody's support.best regards,Lingfu

We have purchased an EVLPOWERSTEP01 and a STEVALPCC009V2. We installed the SPINFamily software on our Windows10 64-bit computer and on connection it states 'The FW version is not the last, upgrade to 2.7'. The document states this is done via the IBUUI updater, but when this runs it states it cannot access the IBUUI.inf driver. This is a poor start to our initial research into using the powerstep01 in our new high power stepper controller. What are our next steps? Please refer the attached error screen captures.Firstly we continued the evaluation on old firmware version. In this case, the Hiz flag is continuously activated and not getting cleared. Unable to go for the further steps in evaluation.Thank you

I have made an interface between stm32 and the modem, through serial communication(UART3). The modem answer ERROR to the following commands :--> AT%SETCFG="NB_CATEGORY",1 and AT%GETCFG="NB_CATEGORY";--> the command AT%SETCFG="BAND","3","20" or AT%SETCFG="BAND",Band3[,Band20]]. How can i set the bands?I try to set the bands with the X-CUBE-CELLULAR but it gives ERROR too. What am I missing?

Hi !I use st25r3916 and esp32 for i2c or spi communication on my custom board.I'm referring to the st25r3916 i2c, spi driver related documents and codes from the link below.https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25r-lib.html#documentationAmong the code examples received from the link, RFAL examples look to use when controlling using an external mcu(esp32), but it is more complicated than I think.is there have any driver examples for controlling st25r3916 with i2c or spi on ESP32 mcu platform?(easier to use)if not, should I port the RFAL example and use it?Thanks!

Hi, I have a issue with the ST25R3916 when using the AAT and the Hardware wake up functions together. The tuning works fine and finds the best parameters, then when entering sleep mode the parameters changes to a fixed value. When waking up the first time the outputs for aat_a and aat_b goes back the tuning parameters, but every wake up after outputs for aat_a and aat_b are just 2V. How can I get the ST25R3916 to use the tuning parameters every time? And why does ST not recommend using these two features together? I have looked in the example projects for the IC but there the AAT is not used.Below some scope images of the AAT_B output (Yellow, green is data transfer). AAT with an antenna with capacitance and the first card read. AAT of antenna with high capacitanceFirst and second card read of antenna with high capacitance. Also if any have a quick explanation/link to an note of why the voltage always is at 1.5V every time there is data transfer (Green line). I will appreciate that as

Hello, I am working with STM32MP157C-DK2 board and trying to pass messages between the CM4 and the CPU (main processor) using the OpenAMP framework over the com ports ttyRPMSG0 and ttyRPMSG1. On the CPU I have the openstlinux-weston image, and a C program for reading and sending messages through ttyRPMSG ports. In this program for interacting with the ports, I pretty much followed this example. Here is my communication setup: CPU sends msgs --> ttyRPMSG0 --> CP4 Receives msgs CM4 sends msgs --> ttyRPMSG1 --> CPU Receives msgsThe CM4 firmware setups and configure OpenAMP and VIRT_UARTs very much as in the OpenAMP_TTY_echo. Here is the issue that I want to resolve.- The CM4 receives the messages sent from CPU. - However, on the CPU side, receiving messages only works if in a terminal I run  echo 'some text' > /dev/ttyRPMSG1 This is quite annoying. Encapsulating this command in a shell script and launching a  systemd service does not work (in t

I am using ST25R3911DISCOComm.dll and the lib in a QT application. Using MSVC 2019 32-bit configuration I am able to get my application running using the 'Debug' sub-configuration only. If I use the 'Release' the application crashes immediately. My suspicion is that this is due to the DLL. Is this correct? Can you point me in the right direction so that I can compile for 'Release' target? Also it would be very helpful if you could add a library for 64-bit targets.

I am using STM32H743 and trying to test my FRAM (FM25V20A) using SPI, I am able to read the device ID correctly but when I tried to write to the FRAM and read back I received zeros.I sent ULBPR and then WREN, when I read the status register using RDSR I received zeros which means that the WEL was not set.

I use pin PB4 on STM32G474QE as normal GPIO output. The external load is ~20kOhm to GND.There is a strange behaviour after reset without any further initialization:1. It seems to be an internal pullup <10kOhm that drives the output to high2. Another pulldown circuit controlled by PA10 seems to drive the PB4 to low.The pulldown behaviour from 2nd is described in manual as "dead battery support" and should be explainable:"After reset, a pull-down resistor (Rd = 5.1kΩ from UCPD peripheral) can be activated on PB6, PB4 (UCPD1_CC1,UCPD1_CC2). The pull-down on PB6 (UCPD1_CC1) is activated by high level on PA9 (UCPD1_DBCC1). The pull-down onPB4 (UCPD1_CC2) is activated by high level on PA10 (UCPD1_DBCC2). This pull-down control (dead battery support onUCPD peripheral) can be disabled by setting bit UCPD1_DBDIS=1 in the PWR_CR3 register. PB4, PB6 have UCPD_CCfunctionality which implements an internal pull-down resistor (5.1kΩ) which is controlled by the voltage on theUCPD_DBCC pin (PA10, PA

Hi.We are students working on a hardware project. We are designing based on the STEVAL-ISB68WA design and would like to know the derivations which could aid in our design(the formula for calculating the capacitor and resistance values). Is there anywhere that we can find such information available? Thank you.

Hi everyone ;I am having a strange issue with IAR . I configured the mcu via cubemx and generated it then I build all the files but I got the errors in the attached files when I try to download the code into the MCU . But I don't get any issuse with the exact same configurations with KEIL . Where do I go wrong ? Any comment and approach would be appreciated so much .

Hi Everyone, Probably a bit long question, but I try to give as much details as possible. Thank you in advance for your time!I am trying to trigger the ADC1 on a STM32F103C8T6 using a timer. The ADC uses the DMA and once the conversion is completed, I try to send the buffer to my computer via USB (Virtual COM port). I work in STM32CubeIDE using the HAL.I use TIM4 and its 4th channel as a trigger. I need to generate 500 kHz, which I managed to do. I tested it with an oscilloscope and I can get the 500 kHz square wave if I use the "PWM Generation CH4" option. TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM4_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END TIM4_Init 1 */ htim4.Instance = TIM4; htim4.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim4.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim4.Init.Period = 143; htim4.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim4.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD

I have followed the steps detailed in the release notes, but both using the GUI and the CLI I still get the error about the firmware being not authentic (despite having downloaded it from ST's website). Here's the log from the CLI:./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -fwupgrade /home/rob/Downloads/stm32/STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.0/Projects/STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin 0x080EC000 firstinstall=0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.8.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------       USB speed : Full Speed (12MBit/s) Manuf. I absolutely cannot understand how the normal loading of the program on the B-G431B-ESC1 board occurs if, due to the use of timer 4 as an input for Hall sensors according to the boot0 (PB8) circuit, it is pulled up to 3.3V through a resistance of 10k. I made my board with exactly the same circuit and as expected normal boot from flash does not occur until boot0 is pulled low. Is there any trick on the B-G431B-ESC1 board?

On the STM32MP1, when booting from serial NOR flash, the STM32 MPU Wiki states "In dual mode, BK1_NCS shall be connected to BK2_NCS on board." Should MPU BK1_NCS and BK2_NCS GPIOs actually be connected, or rather is BK2_NCS GPIO unused? I'm just confused since other kits (ex: STM32H750B-DK) have provisions for jumping the 2 lines together, but the wiki does not indicate the BK2_NCS GPIO (from the MPU) is even used by the BootROM. I wanted clarification of the statement made on the wiki article, mainly to be sure that shorting the BK1_NCS and BK2_NCS lines weren't required to put the QuadSPI in dual-bank mode. The statement on the wiki might be misleading.
