I would like to investigate velocity control of a brushed DC motor using the STSPIN240/250 devices. The motor velocity can be measured using the back emf from the motor. Does anyone know if there is any off the shelf software for this?I notice the X-NUCLEO-IHM13A1 driver board doesn't even connect the current shunts to the C7/C10 connectors so I'm guessing not. Asking just in case...Thanks

I'm stock since a while now.I use H723 nucleo board with a SD card socket, build for SPI, but I use it as SDMMC with 1bit wide.this socket is ok with SD and SPI.f_mount send FR_NOT_READY.I have the same answer with or with out Sd card...I use a logic analyser and I can see that the clock never stop after startis anybody have a clue or a simple working project with H723 and SDMMC ?

Hi, Using SPINFamily Evaluation Tool 3.2, STnucleo-f401re and IHM03A1, I try to drive a 48V-9A motor. On IHM03A1, I add 15mOhm/3W resistances in parallel of R1 and R2, so R1 and R2 value is now 13mOhm. In SPINFamily interface, I choosed current mode, set run current to 7,2A (93,75mV) and overcurrent threshold to 8,41A (218,75mV). I successfully start to run the motor at constant speed but after several minutes (around 3minutes), temperature threshold is reached and board stop, do you know why ? Measured output current is 6A.Thanks

Hello, I am new with NUCLEO STM32G4754 and trying the SBSFU examples (1 image). I can flash and launch the SBSFU but I can't load any user application (userapp.sfb)I use STM32 tools, Windows with the same result :I connect using Teraterm (on Windows) with YMODEM protocol,The terminal display the SBSFU sequence, which is good and terminates by waiting for a user applion to be downloadedI Send the UserApp.sfb with (File->Transfer->Ymodem)AND the load remains stopped only elapsed time is increases..

Hi,I am trying to get the FUS to work with a minimal bootloader, without Interrupts. But even with Interrupts I did not manage to get it working yet. Is there a simple approach to implementing it without needing any of the BT code? I only want to be able to save, load and lock keys.I tried to re-use parts of STM32WPAN (IPCC from CubeMX, combined with SHCI) and the SBSFU (IPCC & TL Initialization, SHCI) to get the desired functionality, but so far i did not manage to do it. Is there some better way to do this?

I have been going through the X-CUBE-MEMSMIC examples on the STWINKt development board. There are two examples 'AMicArray_Acoustic_SL' and 'AMicArray_Microphones_Streaming' are given. AMicArray_Acoustic_SL - is sampling audio at 16k and providing the sound direction using a compiled library. Also, AMicArray_Microphones_Streaming - is sampling audio at 96k and streaming it to USB audio. Now I am trying to integrate both programs i.e. to get the audio samples --> Stream them to USB and also get the sound localization using the same samples. However, when I am using 96k samples to the SoundLocalization API it is always throwing a sample_frequency_error. I have tried different configurations for sound localization API but nothing works. My question is to integrate both functionalities in one, what sampling configuration is required to change or how to remove sample_frequency_error?here is the code snapshot I am trying to configure for 96k samples.void Audio_Libraries_Init(void) { volatil

Hi all,How can i add support for animated splash screen on stm32mp1 ?I have understanding of the psplash recipe used for custom bootscreen which works completely fine. I would like to have animation while system is booting up.Any inputs are highly appreciated.

Hello,I am developing a project that includes a bootloader and an application to jump to.Both binaries execute on the M0+ core in order to take advantage of the security features offered only for this core. The idea is as follows:The bootloader verifies the integrity/authenticity of the application and then jumps in it.I am trying though to enable the hide protection (HDP) feature to allow the execution of the bootloader after a reset or power cycle and then protect the flash area where it is located. In other words, I need the bootloader to be in a secure area and protected from potential read or write actions.Based on the RF0453 I must call the RSSLIB_PFUNC->CloseExitHDP funtion from my bootloader to close the HDP area and then jump to my application.Without enabling the HDP I can verify that the bootloader jumps to my application by using the RSSLIB function above. When I enable the HDP, though, it seems as if the RSSLIB_PFUNC->CloseExitHDP funtion never jumps to my application.T

Hello, I'm trying to PWM some pins using the sysfs interface on the openSTLinux but unfortunately, it's not working.I've been changing the device tree files in order to get it working, but still without success.I'm trying to follow this wiki but when I run the:ls /sys/class/pwmI get nothing. What could be the issue? PWM is enabled on the kernel.I've attached the modified device tree files.Best regards,Fernando Fontes

Hi,Is there any chance to get a free documentation for the Vivante GPU on STM32MP157F?Want to support hardware accelerated 2D (not 3D) by the GPU on a bare-metal (own OS) project.I have found a reverse engineering project on GitHub facing this lack of documentation:https://github.com/laanwj/etna_vivThere was already a question on the StackExchange site Electrical Engineering:https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/512232/stm32mp157-gpu-documentation

I'm trying to understand the benefits/tradeoffs of the "Direct SMPS supply" and "SMPS supplies LDO" options for the STM327H (red and blue options in the attached figure). Since the LDO adds an extra source of power loss, and the SMPS can supply all desired VOS0-VOS3 voltage levels, why would someone choose the "SMPS supplies LDO" option? What is the benefit?

Hi,I've been trying to write data into M95M02 EEPROM with SPI and i cant seem to write data into the memory according to the data sheet. I checked the write status with status register and WIP bit is set to 0 within the write cycle, meaning there is no write in progress. (Status register works fine). I've given logic level high to write protect bit, enabling modification of BP0 and BP1, and its currently set to write protect mode 'none'. But still i cant seem to write any data into the EEPROM. Anyway i can fix this?PS. I'm checking my SPI trasnmissions with a logic analyser.

How to migrate existing project made with CubeMX and Designer 4.17 to version 4.18?Tried it with selecting 4.18 in CubeMX->Software Packs and got this:#include <TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.hpp> #include <touchgfx/hal/OSWrappers.hpp> #include <gui/common/FrontendHeap.hpp> #include <touchgfx/hal/GPIO.hpp>   FreeMarker template error (DEBUG mode; use RETHROW in production!): The following has evaluated to null or missing: ==> data.parameters.tgfx_video [in template "TouchGFXGeneratedHAL_cpp.ftl" at line 81, column 6]   ---- Tip: It's the step after the last dot that caused this error, not those before it. ---- Tip: If the failing expression is known to legally refer to something that's sometimes null or missing, either specify a default value like myOptionalVar!myDefault, or use [#if myOptionalVar??]when-present[#else]when-missing[/#if]. Hello everyoneI'm using a Nucleo board, specifically the L031K6. I'm used to sending UART messages from the board to the PC via the ST-Link USB interface. In this project I wanted to do the other direction going from the PC up to the card over the same interface. The problem is I keep receiving data on the PC but I couldn't receive any data on the card although I tried different serial terminals. When I searched online I only found examples of people using the other USB interface available on some cards in order to communicate in both directions or directly over GPIO using an external USB-UART bridge.I want to know if it is possible to this task directly over ST-Link because that would be easier than buying an additional card or a new Nucleo with extra USB.Thank you.

Hello, After a few weeks of searching en experimenting I am very lost of any solution for my idea. Which is connecting two VL53L3CX sensor to an ESP32 Lolin Lite.I started a few months ago with a lot of interest in microcontrollers and via Arduino I went on to esp32, so my basic knowledge of programming is C++. Everything I read in or out of this community is in C. Which is hard for me to translate or even to use in mine code. Connecting each sensor to a Twowire function did not work, even not when connecting the two sensor to one I2C bus via a pull-up resistor of 4.7K. I got one sensor working, the other is not. When I try to scan the second sensor, I am left empty handed. So somehow the second is not active. When I init the second sensor the program stops. I include the code, the code was to big. I think it's not pleasure to read. it's a collection of a lot of experiments. Sorry for that. But still hoping someone can help me out what I can do more?

Could someone tell me, what I'm doing wrong? Why can't I find out the memory value in "Memory browser" window?Very simple code: uint8_t p = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(LED_GPIO_Port, LED_Pin);  printf("Address of variable 'p' is: %p\r\n", &p); // 0x20004ff7

Hi,I saw in a video (See the screenshot above) that the distance of target is extracted by assuming a normal distribution, and for L5 sensor, we can get sigma (See the second screenshot above). My question is, do the received range sigma means the sigma of that normal distribution?

hello:    I made a board using the AR8035 phy chip. The system can find the phy, but it can't connect to the network.I need your help.log:

If I put the system to sleep via the "echo mem > /sys/power/state" mechanism, how can I execute code/script on wakeup event? Thanks,Ben

It is possible to share the schematic and BOM files of the MB1552B board presented as a design reference in the document: "AN5407 Optimized RF board layout for STM32WL Series" ?

Marking on actual part STM32L151R8H6A is “151R8H6A? but data sheet is “L151R8H6A?

I'm having trouble integrating RFAL for ST25R3916 with an STM32F2xx project. I downloaded RFAL from here: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25rfal002.html#overview. I am trying to follow the steps from section 4.3 How to Run the First Example of the user manual: UM2890 - User manual RF/NFC abstraction layer (RFAL).The library did not include the following files: st_errno.h, timer.c, timer.h, utils.h. I copied these files from the xcube NFC library as a work around: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-nfc6.htmlI added the RFAL files under the Middlewares directory of my project (see below images), and added these files to the include paths I created a platform.h file from the appendix of UM2890 - User manual RF/NFC abstraction layer (RFAL). If I try to add an RFAL function to my program I always get a undefined reference. For example if I added :#include "rfal_analogConfig.h" to my main.cpp and inside my main function I attempt to call: rfalAnalogConfigIniti

I am struggling to achieve a USB gadget with Mass Storage + rndis. When i start each service alone everything works but when i am trying to start both of them i receive the following error:dwc2_hsotg_ep_enable: No suitable fifo foundAny suggestion how to modify the dtsi in order to achieve it .Speed is not a conserne i can reduce the speed to full-speed as well. Thanks,Thanasis

Hai, I have used NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q board for controlling sonar sensors. But I cant flash the code into the board. The inbuilt ST-Link is detected and is recognized by the computer. But when trying flash the code an error message 'Error: No STM32 target found!' is displayed. Then I used STM32CubeProgrammer, the same happens. Computer cant establish a connection with the board and no target information is displayed on STM32CubeProgrammer.Thank you.
