Hi everyone.I need to activate a different USB device (one only, no multi role) at startup, depending for example on a GPIO status. I have two versions of an application on a STM32WB55 Nucleo board working as MSC in a version and CDC in the other. I tried to combine the codes creating two different descriptors, registering the requested device in function MX_USB_Device_Init() and allocating PMA's in USBD_LL_Init() according to the device. As I integrated the CDC code in MSC code, the MSC device works well, but the CDC startup code CDC_Init_FS() is never called. My USB init function is:void MX_USB_Device_Init(void) { /* USB Clock Initialization */ USBD_Clock_Config(); // MSC and CD codes are the same   /* Init Device Library, add supported class and start the library. */ switch (USBDmode) { case USB_DEVICE_MSC: if (USBD_Init(&hUsbDeviceFS, &MSC_Desc, DEVICE_FS) != USBD_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (USBD_RegisterClass(&hUsbDeviceFS, &USBD_MSC) != USB

I have a Nucleo board https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-g491re.htmlI have configured USART1 on PC4 and PC5 in STM32CubeMX, with interrupts and RX DMAI can send but not receiveI was able to get it working on a discovery board before with the same code, but different processor: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32l152cdiscovery.htmlI tested the sending with a USB-serial converter and I can see the MCU is sending. Looping back the TX signal to the RX on the board doesn't result in receiving data, nor does connecting the TX of the USB-serial converter. However I do get RX line error interrupts if I connect the wire, and if I enable idle line interrupt that works too. Here is my stripped down code:#include "app_main.h"   #include "main.h" // includes correct STM32 HAL   //RTOS includes #include "FreeRTOS.h" #include "task.h" #include "cmsis_os2.h"   #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/unistd.h>   #ifdef DEBUG   extern "C" int _write(int file

If i don't put #define on the variables "linked" to Tim2_Ticks, it make me an error like:"inizializer element is not constant". On web i serch this error but i didn't solve. In this page (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30158010/initializer-element-not-constant) anyone have same problem but i have same gcc compiler by the way didn't works.Any idea for solve this problem?Best Regards, Antonio S.

Hi STM-Team,I am working with STM32MP1 evolution board. It has 512MB of RAM memory. I want to load some custom data (1024 byes) in the last some offset of RAM memory (~500MB offset address). So, I am trying to use below command from u-boot prompt. But, getting error like accessing reserved memory.RAM Base address is 0xC000 0000 + 0x1F40 0000 (500MB offset) = 0xDF40 0000Case-1: STM32MP1>ext4load mmc 0:5 0xDF400000 file.binEntering do_loadargc:5argv[0]:loadargv[1]:mmcargv[2]:0:5argv[3]:0xDF400000argv[4]:file.bin** Reading file would overwrite reserved memory **File read ret:-28But, I am able to access the address offset ~381MB (0xD7DEF0DC).Case-2: STM32MP1> ext4load mmc 0:5 0xD7DEF0DC file.binEntering do_loadargc:5argv[0]:loadargv[1]:mmcargv[2]:0:5argv[3]:0xD7DEF0DCargv[4]:mtd3File read ret:01024 bytes read in 339 ms (2.9 KiB/s)Can anyone help me out to understand what is going wrong while accessing the RAM memory addresses around 500MB offset?Attaching the full logs file for refer

Using ST25RU3993, I was able to get only the On-chip RSSI value and EPC,PC values. Is reading the temperature sensor value, implemented in the SDK? If NO, How can i implement it??The temperature Sensor which I am using is "RFM3200-AFR"(Gen2 compatible).

Hi,I'm using stm32mp157a-dk1 and I would like to use rpmsg_sdb for exchanging data buffers with the coprocessor (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_exchange_data_buffers_with_the_coprocessor).I built the image for the A7 following the "STM32MP1 Distribution Package" tutorial without problem (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_Package#Flashing_the_built_image).But in the dev folder I can't find the rpmsg_sdb device. Is there a prebuild image for A7 with this driver? If not, how can I add the recipe rpsmg-sdb-mod Yocto recipe to the image of the distribution tutorial using bitbake? In case, is there other ways to get the device rpmsg_sdb?Thank you in advance.Best regards,Andrea Segalla

Is the CubeMX setting incorrect?2. Is there a problem with the idea of SPI communication?I searched, but couldn't find much reference sample code that could be used to read and write the external flash. Please let me know if there is any sample code or site that you can refer to.

Hello,I haven't used the STM32Cube for several months and brought it up to date a few days ago.As always I started a new project for NUCLEO-H743ZI2 with "STM32 Project from an Existing STM32CubeMX Configuration File (.ioc)".When trying to debug the code, I got the error message below.According to Linux it is "ENOKEY". I've got a lot of keys, but none of them fits ... It's a small joke! When I connect the board, the devices "/dev/stlinkv3 ...", "/dev/sda", "/dev/sg0" and "/dev/ttyACM0" are created. With the exception of "/dev/sg0" they belong to the group "plugdev". My user is a member of this group. So it cannot be due to a lack of permissions. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance,Michael

The idea is to switch the VCC Line with a FET to get STO (safe torque off) functionality. Is this possible or can this cause problems (cross current or similar)? In the attachment is an image of the Idea.

I have a board that does not have an external temperature sensor. I'm using the motor control toolbox and it doesn't have an option for selecting the internal temperature sensor. I know that the internal one is not very accurate (calibration points at +/- 5C temps) and I know that it will be the die temp and not the air or motor temperature, but I have to work with what is on the board so would like to know how to use that sensor within the motor control framework. I need to use it for over temp shutdown and general remote temperature reporting.

There's a bug in <numeric> library in 9-2020-q2-update toolchain. It makes the project fail to compile just by adding `#include <numeric>` to it. I also tried making a fresh new empty project with only that library included and it also doesn't compile. New toolchain 10.3.1 doesn't seem to fail on that.c:\st\stm32cubeide\plugins\...\include\c++\9.3.1\numeric:89:10: error: expected ')' before '__val' 89 | (_Tp __val) | ~ ^~~~~~ | )

Hello Everyone. I'm a student and learning ST nowadays.Forgive me for my childish question but I really don't get it.HAL library's functions are usually returns a value of result of the process. For example, HAL_Init func returns HAL_StatusTypeDef value. When I generate a project from CubeMX or CubeIDE, default codes doesn't use HAL_StatusTypeDef.The program just inits and moves on. Never check if it if busy or gets error.I don't know could I tell myself clearlyThanks for reply, have a good day.

My program sets D1, D2 and D3 up as identical GPIO inputs. All are pull-ups. Tests using STM32CubeIDE in debug shows both working perfectly and independently as the circuit is opened and closed to pull the input down and allowing it to pull up again. Now the board is power cycled. The test is repeated using the same code but now D2 is showing as 0 (it is being pulled low despite being open circuit) . Pulling D3 low makes it change from 1 to 0 but now D2 goes from 0 to 1 (it is now being pulled high). Now power is removed from the board.Measuring the resistance between D2 and ground shows a different resistance between it and measuring other inputs D1 and D3. Also there appears to be a lower resistance than expected between D2 and D3 but only in one direction. We have repeated this test on three different NUCLEO-G0B1RE boards and the result has been the same and permanent each time.Is there anything different about D2 that might explain this change? Is there anything in software that could

Hello,I use stm32h750vbt6, I got the ram_d1 zone overflow error. What I don't understand is why the ram_d1 region zone overflow doesn't write to other ram regions.

Dear experts,I'm having a weird issue with SPI initialization on STM32H743/753 .The device connected to the SPI master needs HIGH clock polarity (CPOL). So we clicked this in CubeMX, and the generated code indeed has "hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity    = SPI_POLARITY_HIGH" and it works. Then we switched to LL for the SPI. The LL variant is obviosly " SPI_InitStruct.ClockPolarity   = LL_SPI_POLARITY_HIGH;"But now it fails, and works if we change it to LL_SPI_POLARITY_LOW!Has anybody seen this behavior? Hi folks,I want to start ADC conversions on 2 regular channels of ADC1 block only after the voltage on one of the channels exceeds a certain limit, hence I'm using a watchdog feature. After the watchdog will be triggered, I need to store 5 consequent values from each channel. Here is the relevant peace of code that I have so far:void HAL_ADC_LevelOutOfWindowCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc) { HAL_ADC_Stop_IT(&hadc1); // stop watchdog interrupts   uint32_t adc_values[10] = {0}; HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, adc_values, 10); // read values from each channel after a watchdog has been triggered HAL_ADC_Stop_DMA(&hadc1); // prevents continuous overwriting   uint32_t A4_val = 0; uint32_t A5_val = 0;   A4_val = adc_values[1]; // values from channel A4 A5_val = adc_values[0]; // values from channel A5 printf("A4 channel value is %lu\n", A4_val); printf("A5 channel value is %lu\n", A5_val);   A4_val = adc_values[3]; A5_val = adc_values[2]

How to solve the problem of slow scrolllist sliding process, when the item template is too complicated（Template size :710*35,contains 4 textAreas?2 bitmaps 5 boxs，Scrolllist size :710*350）.The simulator is very nice, but H7 board is not smooth.

Hello ST,We are working with the ST25RU3993 and have purchased the ST25RU3993-HPEV board to evaluate the RFID chip. Now, we want to drive the ST25RU3993 via SPI with a different MCU. We have read previous posts explaining how to disable the STM32 MCU without removing it but those recommandations apply to the EVAL board:"1. Remove R7, R8, R9, R11 (NCS, CLK, MISO, MOSI) and R12, R13 (IRQ, EN) and connect on the pin-header your SPI and GPIOs2. Remove R61 on the board short circuit C25. This reduce power consumption by putting the STM32L4 into shutdown3. Remove R38, R39 and R40. This will allow you to use the carrier cancellation from your MCU. Use the ETC_3, ETC_2 and ETC_1 pins on the board4. The ST25RU3993 EVAL board has a RF switch to switch between the internal and a external PA. To drive this from your MCU you need to controll PA_SW_V1 and PA_SW_V2 lines. The easiest way to do this is to solder wires to the STM32L4 MCU pin 25 (PA_SW_V1) and pin26 (PA_SW_V2) and controll the switc

We have MCAL drivers for MPC560 and MPC563 microcontrollers (AUTOSAR 3.0 and 4.0).Can we use them to write MCAL drivers for SPC560 and SPC563 microcontrollers?
