/* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #define ADC_BUF_LEN 4096 /* USER CODE END PD */   ...   /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint16_t adc_buf[ADC_BUF_LEN];   ... /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, (uint32_t*)adc_buf, ADC_BUF_LEN);I've got the above code added to my project with the attached IOC, but when I hit a debug breakpoint after a second or so there are no values in the adc_buf.In addition, when I probe the ANA1 (Arduino Pin A3) with nothing plugged in, I get a sine wave that sits offset at ~3v and has a peak to peak voltage of about 800mV and 128MHz frequency. See pic below. It's also notable that there is no "DMA Continuous Requests" option in Parameter Settings which I understand I need to set to Enabled.

Hello,I need to use the WHO_AM_I register value to differentiate between some inertial sensors, but I've realized that this value is the same across some products.Example:ISM330DLC and LSM6DSM shares the same 01101010 WHO_AM_I value.LSM6DSO and LSM6DSO32 shares the same 01101100 WHO_AM_I value.In the first case, ISM330DLC and LSM6DSM, it seems to not be a major issue, other than the impossibility of knowing exactly what part is mounted on a board. As far as I've seen, all the registers and configurations are the same across the two options.However, for LSM6DSO and LSM6DSO32, this is a problem. It is not possible to know what exact part is mounted on a board using this info, and each part need some specific register values (setting the accelerometer full-scale is the most obvious difference).Just to provide some context: we're developing a board with some inertial sensors footprints, and we'd like to have some flexibility in our BOM to deal with components shortages and price increases.

int main(void) { HAL_Init();   SystemClock_Config();   MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init();   const int* task_1_Param = 1; const int* task_2_Param = 2;   xTaskCreate (vTask, "T1", 150, (void *)&task_1_Param, 1, NULL); xTaskCreate (vTask, "T2", 150, (void *)&task_2_Param, 1, NULL);     vTaskStartScheduler(); }     void vTask(void * pvParams) {   const int *tParam = (const int *)pvParams; HAL_Delay(100);   for (;;) {   printf("Task_%d Running.\n", *tParam);   printf("Task_%d Complete - Yielding Task.\n", *tParam); taskYIELD(); HAL_Delay(1000);   } }

Hi,I follow the tutorial "How to exchange data buffers with the coprocessor".Unfortunately, my board doesn't run the tutorial directly.I read the code "stm32_rpmsg_sdb.c","backend.c","main.c" and modified it slightly. Now M4 can receive the address sent by rpmsg-sdb, but when M4 writes directly to this address, it will enter"void HardFault_Handler(void)",also cannot read the correct data.I modified the code of "stm32_rpmsg_sdb.c" to test whether the applied memory can be used. After successfully applying for memory, data was written and correctly read in app, indicating that memory allocation and mapping should have been successful.Can M4 read and write the memory allocated from rpMSG-sdb directly?Or can you only use DMA to copy M4 memory into the requested memory?Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have a problem with my discovery kit stm32f072.I usually use that board as a debugger for my personal embedded projects, so only the debugger part.I recently tried for a moment to download my project to the discovery MCU and since then, when I try to use the debugger only for my personal projects (which are within a personal board) nothing works anymore. I am using IAR embedded workbench, when I try to download and debug, the IDE blocks without writing to my MCU's flash memory.I think I have programmed a reserved region in the discovery board, or something similar, is there a method to restore everything?

I updated IDE to 1.8.0 . When I try to create stm32 project, I cannot select board because it is empty. All buttons are silent. I reinstalled, check all update but same... Any idea?

How can I adjust font kerning in a textArea (or anything else) string?

Hi,In the Nx_WebServer there are html pages and a binary to be flashed on the OCTO-SPI NOR Flash for it to work - seems cool how it works once we flash the binary into the flash.My question is, if we need to have different html pages - how do we generate a different binary which we could then flash on the OCTO-SPI NOR Flash.Looking forward to your response - thanks!Regards,Ukhan

Hello, I have to run a c application after the STM32MPU has booted up ( not before that).Is there a way to launch the terminal application with custom shell script running on it?How ?what is the name of the terminal application?May be I can put that in the /etc/profile.d/<some_shell_script>for normal ubuntu system it is generally xterm or gnome.What is it for OpenSTLinux?Br,D

Hello,When working with an incremental encoder, after performing the encoder alignment procedure, it is imperative to perform the function MC_StopMotor1();Otherwise, the current (Id ref) is incorrectly set, which can lead to overheating of the motor.This problem is especially relevant in the position control mode, since in this mode the motor stop function is not used. Best regards.

Hi,I want to save my data calculation in internal memory or flash memory without loss after reset. But, I dont know how to do that. Because in the STM32WL MCU dont have memory bank. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I saved font table in norflash and copy to sdram for used.I want to show text “abcdefghijklmn? but it actually shows is “a#c#e#g#i#j#m#?, and the strange thing is that all the odd chars are correct and the even chars have this strange behavior.  The text show normal when font table is used in norflash by memory-map mode.What's the problem?

Hello,I'm using the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A Board. Today I encountered a problem with the calibration. If I set the voltage to 3.3V and run a calibration I measure at VOUT only 3V. Without any calibration I measure the expected 3.3V. If I set the voltage to 1.8V and run a calibration I measure also 3V at VOUT. Without calibration it's 1.8V. Have you seen this problem? Or do I something wrong? Maybe I have to set the voltage after calibration again?

Hello, I want to check the low consumption in stop2 mode. I use directly the Sigfox_PushButton example of cubeWL Page 71/79 of the AN5480 (Rev4 - July 2020) : I use the X_NUCLEO-LPM01A to measure the consumption in stop mode. With this setup: I supply the MCU through I_SoC (JP1) (at 3.3V)I remove JP7 to remove LED5.I remove STLK jumper (as shown in UM2592 P.22)I measure : 725uA !!! How in practice to measure these 2uA ?Thank you Best regards

I need to feed STM32F427 with external clock generator and at the same time use PH1/OSC_OUT pin as GPIO output.What I doing.STM32CubeMX 6.3.0, FW_F4 v1.26.2 Firmware, "Pinout & Configuration" TAB -> Categories -> RCC -> High Speed Clock (HSE) BYPASS CLOCK SOURCE. Then we see on "Pinout view" signals RCC_OSC_IN + RCC_OSC_OUT with green enabled pins PH0/OSC_IN and PH1/OSC_OUT.  Now try to setup PH1/OSC_OUT pin as GPIO. HSE BYPASS disabled and conflicted with text explanation "High Speed Clock (HSE) Conflict with PH1/OSC_OUT mapped with GPIO output" (see screenshot below).I have read RM0090 rev19:  6.2.1 HSE clock (p.154),   8.3.14 Using the OSC_IN/OSC_OUT pins as GPIO PH0/PH1 port pins (p. 278).Seems it impossible to have both external generator (HSE BYPASS) on pin OSC_IN, and OSC_OUT as GPIO pin at the same time? Is it true ?

I to all,I have a project where an STM32F013RTC use an SD card.At run time the SD is share with FAT_FS or it is used as USB mass storage device, but not at the same time.I need to disable USB module.The configuration is made from CubeMX, so I have the function MX_USB_DEVICE_Init() to enable and configure USB.void MX_USB_DEVICE_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USB_DEVICE_Init_PreTreatment */   /* USER CODE END USB_DEVICE_Init_PreTreatment */   /* Init Device Library, add supported class and start the library. */ if (USBD_Init(&hUsbDeviceFS, &FS_Desc, DEVICE_FS) != USBD_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (USBD_RegisterClass(&hUsbDeviceFS, &USBD_MSC) != USBD_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (USBD_MSC_RegisterStorage(&hUsbDeviceFS, &USBD_Storage_Interface_fops_FS) != USBD_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (USBD_Start(&hUsbDeviceFS) != USBD_OK) { Error_Handler(); }   /* USER CODE BEGIN USB_DEVICE_Init_PostTreatment */   /* USER CODE END USB_

I am wondering if there is a mechanism to transition to a different screen based on the item selected on a scroll list control (Widget) and also pass information regarding the item selected or the index of the scroll list item selected or is there a mechanism to do screen transition from a virtual function handler?Thanks,Yogesh

I am working with the STM32 Nucleo-64 development board, which has an STM32L476R microcontroller. My SystemCoreClock is 16 MHz and TIM17 is clocked at 4 MHz. To my surprise, the code below only works well (the timer doesn't miss the next interrupt and wraps around) if I increment with at least 23:#pragma GCC push_options #pragma GCC optimize ("O3") void TIM1_TRG_COM_TIM17_IRQHandler(void) { GPIOC->BSRR = 0x00000400; // Set test pin PC10 high GPIOC->BSRR = 0x04000000; // Set test pin PC10 low TIM17->SR = 0; // Clear interrupt flags TIM17->CCR1 += 23; // OK // TIM17->CCR1 += 22; // Not ok } #pragma GCC pop_optionsNow, 23 timer ticks corresponds to 23 x 4 = 92 CPU clock cycles and it seems unlikely that the 4 lines of code would occupy 92 instructions. When I store the TIM17->CNT value in a global variable first thing in the interrupt routine above I can see that TIM17->CNT is 8 (!) more than TIM17->CCR1 meaning it took roughly 8 x 4 = 32 CPU clock instruct

i want to interface shift register(74HC595) with STM32F103C8T6 MCU using SPI Transmit only master mode.I need to continuously write shift register so it is continuously update op pins. so i set SPI DMA in circular mode and when transmit complete i need to give latch clock so i use HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback() function but it is only call once when HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA() call.how can call HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback() repetitively DMA circular mode?my goal is to continuously update SHIFTREISTERs pins using DMA outside while loop./* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2022 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE

I have a sensor that can communicate via UART, I send a command and the sensor answers me with a hexadecimal frame.I can have distance, angle, velocity values.  I know how to store the frame in a buffer but I don't know how to store it in hexa to keep the form 0xFF6F and identify if the value is negative or positive.There is the code i have made to identifier and read value inside the bufferextern uint8_t flag; extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart1;   //Initialisation des commandes capteur. uint8_t INIT[12] = {0x49, 0x4E, 0x49, 0x54, 0x04, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; // Init commande for the first communication and fix the Bauderate uint8_t TDAT[12] = {0x47, 0x4E, 0x46, 0x44, 0x04, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; // TDAT to detect target and get the rang and the angle uint8_t GBYE[8] = {0x49, 0x4E, 0x49, 0x54, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00}; // commande to disconnect the sensor   void sensor_init(void){ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, INIT, sizeof(INIT), 13

In section 16.3.7 of STM32U5 RM0456 Rev 2, the following text appears in the bullet that notes MSIK, HSI and LSI are linked to TIM2/TIM3/TIM4/TIM5:"External clock mode1: Table 446: Interconnect to the tim_ti1 input multiplexer for TIM5, tim_ti1_in1 (LSI) and tim_ti1_in2(HSI)"However, in section 47.4.2 Table 446 (TIM2/3/4/5 "Interconnect to the tim_ti1 input multiplexer") tim_ti1_in2 connects LSE rather than HSI to TIM5.On previous MCUs such as the STM32G4, the LSE is connected to TIM5 on tim_ti1_in2 and when measuring on a Nucleo-U575ZI-Q board it also appears to be counting LSE ticks rather than HSI ticks. This leads me to believe that Table 446 is correct and section 16.3.7 is incorrect.

Doing some current consumption research.I have a TouchGFX application running on the STM32F469I-DISCO board in portrait mode It is primarily doing just GUI activities, to simulate the GUI screens and transitions, etc. for GUI design and usability evaluation.I have a 72-pixel high status bar at the top of the screen, and the remainder of the screen is the screen-specific stuff. My background does not overlap between the two areas.In my status area, I have a 48x48 pixel icon fading in and out continuously. On my main screen, I have a larger image (240x250px) that is not moving until I press a GUI button on the main screen. Once I do that, using the Move Animator the image starts moving downward until it reaches its bottom point, then repeats the move from the starting position. It does this continuously until I press another button.So, my Joulescope is indicating that my average current is 195mA when only the small image in the status bar is fading in and out, but when I start the image
