I try to use DMA to transport data from GPIO input regester (GPIOx_IDR) to some other buffer memory. DMA reguest is created by timer with input capture mode so I turn on DMA by HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA(). This function doesn't have a arugument for source address of data so I tried to set source data address like DMA1_Chanel5->CPAR = &GPIOB->IDR; But it didn't work. Are there any solution for this?my code is down below uint32_t buf[10];DMA1_Channel5->CPAR = (uint32_t)tx_buf; HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA(&htim2,TIM_CHANNEL_1,buf,10);

Hi all!!!I have a problem with GTM / TOM and eDMA.I am using a SPC58-BERNINA (STEVAL-TTM004V1) and SPC5Studio.My goal is to start a copy via eDMA channel when an interrupt of a TOM channel is triggered (suppose CN0 == CM0).In my example I am using GTM TOM1-CH7.Reading table 40 of paragraph 7.3.6.6 I saw that GTM_TOM1_IRQ7 is part of DMACHMUX_3 line 39 so I have chosen eDMA's channel 48 and I initialized DMACHMUX_3 with source 39 (27h).In the same project I am using other eDMA channels, the "start" of which is determined by the ADC_SAR_***_EOC without problems.Del TOM I have enabled interrupts and I have verified that the interrupt is actually called. However, I cannot direct this signal to the eDMA.It should be very simple and straightforward, DMACHMUX has a lot of GTM inputs, but I couldn't.Can someone help me?Thanks,Gionatha

According to other answers on this website, it looks like I am supposed to do something like:~/st/stm32cubeide_1.8.0/stm32cubeide --launcher.suppressErrors -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -data "./" -build *And I run the above line in the same folder as my .mxproject, .project and .cproject files. The error I am getting is:Invalid Arguments: [-build, Core, Drivers, stm32 Project.ioc, Middlewares] Error: Unknown argument: Drivers Usage: PROGRAM -data <workspace> -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild [ OPTIONS ]   -data {/path/to/workspace} -import {[uri:/]/path/to/project} -importAll {[uri:/]/path/to/projectTreeURI} Import all projects under URI -build {project_name_reg_ex{/config_reg_ex} | all} -cleanBuild {project_name_reg_ex{/config_reg_ex} | all} -markerType Marker types to fail build on {all | cdt | marker_id} -no-indexer Disable indexer -printErrorMarkers Print all error markers -I {include_path}

I used STM32CubeIDE to create the project. The configuration that I used for the i2c is attached. I generated the code and added the following code in the "USER CODE BEGIN 2" section right after the call to MX_I2C_Init(). I made no other changes. uint8_t buf[16]; HAL_StatusTypeDef ret = HAL_I2C_Slave_Receive_IT(&hi2c1, buf, sizeof(buf));When I try and transmit some data to the device, the address is received and acknowledged after which the slave drives the SDA line low and holds it there forever (see the attached timing image).What am I doing wrong?Thanks.

Hello, I'm using stm32f469 with QSPI external flash. The flash is divided for TouchGFX graphic data and for File System.TouchGFX uses memory-mapped mode to access data, while File system accesses also in command mode. How could I prevent TouchGFX to access the external flash while flash is configured to command mode?Thank You,Ari

I am trying to compile the python wrapper for the st25ru3993 hpev to the raspberry pi but get errors saying 'pythread_create' is undefined.here is a picture of the errors.I am trying to compile the python wrapper for the st25ru3993 hpev to the raspberry pi. When I run the python demonstration it says the dll is missing. I goto compile the wrapper, but I am getting these errors. I have tried to fix this with the -pthread and -lpthread flags but neither of them seem to work. Its possible i am doing it wrong, but I think this is correct.Any help would be appreciated I have spent hours trying to fix this issue.

Hi,I can see weird behaviour on my STM32L083RBT6. Do not know where to start - I will try:When I run my app with Window WD - everything works fineWhen I run my app with Window WD disabled - not every start of my app (power on by inserting battery) starts up corectly - it means the app remains stuck in unknown place (in time < 100 ms after power on)When I continue to toogle battery connecting (power on -> power off), so about after 20 cycles the mcu always starts up correctly but after about 500 ms the mcu always resets -> then starts up -> resets and again and again with period about 500 ms - from this moment it looks like the mcu is corrupted - Nothing like reflashing app (with or without WD) can save the mcu. In this state I tried to debug why the mcu resets - by reading the RCC->CSR register - but there is always bunch of set bits (WWDGRSTF, IWDRSTF, PORRSTF, PINRSTF, SFTRSTF) - so this feature probably does not work!No voltage spikes captured on power pins during con

Is it possible to not have a filter when receiving CAN messages? I want to create a gateway and transfer ALL messages from one CAN bus to another CAN bus. Do I just have to add 1000 messages to my list of allowed messages to ensure everything is accepted?

Hi i am developing a BLE-UART bridge with an STM32WB5M.I am guetting around 1,85 KB/s data troughput, is this normal?Did anyone pull this off with greater data troughput? (same uart thing or any streaming application)

We are using STM32F103VCT6 in our projects. We are communicating through RS-485. When we initialize RX pin as alternative function push-pull there occurs a voltage drop on RX pin voltage level. We are curious about UART peripheral GPIO diagram. And would this situation cause a damage on the communication IC?

Hi everyone, I am using stm32mp157f-dk2 with ecosystem 3.1.I want to configure the usb type C port(CN7) as serial port, and communicate with the host PC.This article helps me a lot. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/USB_overview#How_to_configure_USB_Gadget_through_configfsI modified the usbotg-gadget-config.bb, the stm32_usbotg_eth_config.sh and create my own service, as attached.After that, I can successfully set up the device. I can see ttyGS0 show up in my device.However, when I connect it to the host, although the host is able to detect my device, it can't recognize my device.What am I missing?I suspect that it is the stlink causing the issue, as it occupy the ttyACM0 already and the host cannot create another tty corresponding to the GS0. I am not sure how will the host OS deal with this situation.Regards, Leung10/3 update: I found that my PC can't boot up when the device is connected. It scared me. I am still investigating why it is failing, but I think the stlink is not the root

The system memory boot mode document (AN2606) states that the G0 uses FDCAN1. However, the reference manual (RM0444) states that it uses FDCAN2... Which one does the boot loader actually use?

Dear STM Community,I am working on a project that was going smoothly so far until I faced the problem mentioned above lately.Problem/Symptoms:When I DEBUG the code and execute it line-by-line, it works perfectly.When I DEBUG the code and then disconnect it from the debugger to let the code run feely, it works perfectly.When I RUN the code runs and then gets stuck as the first encounter of HAL_Delay() or any HAL function that uses a delay. After getting stuck, as soon as I reset or power cycle the board, the code runs perfectly.Attempts to Fix the Issue:I started having this problem lately. Even when I go back to previous builds or when I create a simple “Hello World? application, the same behavior is observed (gets stuck on delay).Some were suggesting to check the vector table and the reset handler (which I did), but if these were messed up, the MCU would not work upon reset either. Others suggested that it may have to do with the NVIC SysTick priority having too low priority while it

Hello,I have had a look over the B-G431B-ESC1 Layout Files and found that the High Side FETs are connected to V+ with a single Via.The brown layer is V+, the large red pad is where the FET Drain is connected.I can only see the single via i marked. The production files state the same.This via can only carry about 1A of current, so this is definitely a design flaw.Can you please check if there is a error in the design files I downloaded or if I am right.@Laurent Ca...

I would like to put STM32F030K6T6 into STOP mode (low power mode), in which there should be current consumption around 5 μA.But whatever I do the current consumption is around 450 μA in stop mode.There is basically nothing else on the PCB, it's as simple as possible.The board without MCU consumes 7 μA, that is quiescent current of LDO. So in the end I would expect to get 12 μA (7 + 5 μA). When I place there MCU the consumption is around 2-3 mA in normal mode and 450 μA in stop mode. All pins are set to analog input with no pull-ups, which is recommended config. All peripherals are disabled (like ADC, IWDG, I2C, SPI, timer, etc.). Only RTC is enabled. I tried it with all pins set to output, it did not help either.What do I do wrong?int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); while (1) { goto_stop(); HAL_Delay(3000); // 3 seconds of full power } } void goto_stop(void) {   RTC_DateTypeDef sDate; sDate.Date=1; sDate.Month=RTC_MONTH_JANU

I am trying to use spi interface between 2 stm32f429zi discovery board and i found a code provided by ST that is inside reposity folder. Basicly it says it is an example for two board comminucation. But i could not manage to build that code file from stm32CubeIDE.

The board I'm using is NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q and it has two cores, a Cortex-M4 and a Cortex-M7.After I update STM32CubeIDE to Version: 1.9.0, I can't download programs to the core Cortex-M4. I've already updated ST-Link to the latest version.It says:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Version 6.1.0 Copyright (c) 2022, STMicroelectronics.
