is it possible to add a specific name for usb port identification? when I use my PC HMI to connect this device, I can easily detect device is connected?

Hi,I am using a XIAO BLE Sense Board that uses an nRF52840 MCU and an LSM6DS3TC-R connected via I2C. The original bootloader from Seeed works fine with their library for the gyro sensor and I am now trying to develop my own with the nRF5 SDK.At the moment I have issues with the I2C connection, so the sensor works fine when powering the device on most of the time, but in some cases it is unpredictably not answering on the I2C bus when reading/writing to the sensor (read WHO_AM_I as the first transmission). I think no ACK is sent after the adress or after the first byte of data (the subaddress), but I cannot confirm that because the Pins of neither the MCU nor the gyro sensor are accessible on the breakout board for an oscilloscope.Is it possible that the gyro sensor needs some kind of I2C reset or some kind of SDA/SCL push pull sequence that it starts responding again? Or do I need to unpower it for a few ms to reset everything maybe?Thanks in advance and best regards!

Hi,I use SAI interface for reading data: 8 of 32bit slots -> 256 BytesThis work fine:uint32_t GlSAI_DMA_Buff[8]; .... HAL_SAI_Receive(&hsai_BlockB3,(uint8_t *) GlSAI_DMA_Buff, 8, 0xffffff);When I use DMA like this: HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA(&hsai_BlockB3,(uint8_t *) GlSAI_DMA_Buff, 8);It only recieve 1 Byte:Then only GlSAI_DMA_Buff[0] is equal to 0x52 - but there should be something like 0x5260A246 , in other places are also zeros...When I try another DMA for mem to mem (on GlSAI_DMA_Buff ) it works fine - so probably my MPU for disabling Cache is set correctly.Any advice please?

Hi ;I'm trying to configure the ADC1 and ADC2 modules to get them triggered via tim1_trgo2 for a dual simultaneous regular conversion start but no success until now .Before I tried to do this I verified that I can succesfully trigger these modules over a software trigger using the master module's 'ADSTART' bit and get the results .Here is the configuration scheme ;ADC1 is configured to convert only 1 channel (ADC1_IN1) , ADC2 is also configured to convert one channel (ADC2_IN2) , both channels 'Regular channel sequence length' is set to 0 , and as known both channels are a fast ADC channel not one of those slow ones so the conversion durations are equalBoth channel is configured to convert at hardware oversampler mode , 128 conversions and shifting the result by 7 , ROVSE is enabled.ADC clock is selected as 'System clock selected as ADC1/2 clock' from the RCC_CCIPR . ADC_CCR , CKMODE is set to '00' (Asynchronous Clock Mode) and the prescaler is et to 6 using ADC_CCR_PRESC bits.Accordin

I try to implement a TCP/IP client on my STM32F746ZG-Nucleo.Before the last update it was working. But no more now.The first pass I always get a ERR_RTE because the ethernet link is not up. So I tried to connect each 5 secondes 5 times.But the second pass, the link is up and everything seems good except one thing.The program stay blocked on trying to acquire the semaphore : HAL_ETH_Transmit_IT(&heth, &TxConfig); while(osSemaphoreAcquire(TxPktSemaphore, TIME_WAITING_FOR_INPUT)!=osOK)   { }   HAL_ETH_ReleaseTxPacket(&heth);Even if I wait 5 sec before trying to connect at the start, it will stay blocked at the exact same line.I tried to add "netconn_set_nonblocking(conn, true);" but doesn't change anything.Here is my configuration :void StartDefaultTask(void *argument) { /* init code for LWIP */ MX_LWIP_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 5 */ allInitCompleted = true;   /* Infinite loop */ for(;;) { osDelay(100); } /* USER CODE END 5 */ }And the function

Hello,I am hoping to find someone who could explain or show an example of how to read data line from a MEMS microphone using PDM and output the corresponding PCM values. If anyone could help with some code examples I would be very much appreciative.Thanks in advance

(LSM6DSL) I want to know why raw data(angular rate) is multiplied by sensitivity.Multiply the angular velocity(gyro raw data) by sensitivity and it becomes mdps, what exactly is mdps?float_t lsm6dsl_from_fs500dps_to_mdps(int16_t lsb){  return ((float_t)lsb * 17.50f);}

I'm stuck trying to understand the differences between the two Nucleo-144 boards STM32H743ZI (seems to be the older version but with lots of resources but outdated)andSTM32H743ZI2 (current version but i can hardly find working examples and resources)can someone point me in the right direction?why do some examples designed for the ZI not work on the ZI2 ? where exactly are the diferences, at first glance they seem identical.

I'm using a STM32F429I-DISC1 board. I can create a display in TouchGFX and it creates the project in the default location "C:\TouchGFXProjects\Display". It makes an IOC file in the "Display" folder "STM32F429I_DISCO_REV_E01.IOC" It makes a "STM32CubeIDE" folder with a " dot project" file (no IOC file for the CubeIDE project).When I try to open the "IOC" file I get an error "Invalid Input: Must be IFileEditorInput".When I open the "dot project" file in the STM32CubeIDE folder, CubeIDE imports the project and I can load/debug the board. But I don't have the "IOC" file that matches the project to edit and configure the MCU.If I import the "C:\TouchGFXProjects\Display" with the "IOC", CubeIDE seems to make a new copy of the project, and editing the imported "IOC" file doesn't update the correct project files.I can copy the "IOC" file into the "CubeIDE" project, and rename the "IOC" so it matches the project name. Changing the copied "IOC" doesn't update the files in the Cube project, it se

Hello-When using Cube and doing Help->Manage Embedded Software->ST Microelectronics, the X-CUBE-SMBUS package does not appear in the list, even when doing a refresh of available packages. I downloaded the archive from https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-smbus.html but when attempting "From Local" the tool says it doesn't recognize the contents of the file. How can this package get installed then?An alternative is getting a clear example of how to use the files when I just include them by hand. There is an example for the STM32L0538-Discovery but it's an "everything all at once" design and has so much conditional compilation going on it's hard to tell what is supposed to be happening if you just want a host to do simple read/write operations.

We have an application that required to use DCMI, LTDC & SDIO in same time. we plan to use STM32H7B3I-EVAL for proof of concept. can we use it or there is limitation in using all this interfaces in same time?

Hello,I use an open source projet (open62541 on github) to get OPC-UA implementation over lwip.When my projet is compiled with open62541 source code, it's works without error.But the 2 files generated 'open62541.c' and 'open62541.h' are very big (around 4 and 1 Mbytes).My cross compiler is gcc form STM32CubeIDE Version 1.9    GNU Tools for STM32 (10.3-2021.10)   arm-none-eabi-gcc -v    Using built-in specs. I've been using Keil MDK for the last year. My license is going to expire, and I am going to ramp up who needs to write firmware from 1 to about 5. So, I am going to revert back to STM32CubeIDE. There were a couple of useful functional processes I used in Keil that I can't seem to replicate with CubeIDE.First)In Keil I was able to reset the processor and the debug session would start back at main().There is a "reset" button in CubeIDE but it doesn't seem to restart the debug session. It seems to stop the code wherever it is, but I can't do anything. Step over, step into, continie all don't do anything. Under the debug window (left) it shows "Thread #1 (Running: User Request)". I cannot seem to interact in anyway. Second) In Keil, when I was running a program I could press "Stop" and execution would stop exactly where it was happening and then I could take control of the debugging. I found this to be useful. I can't seem to find an equivalent.Thanks!

I try to write the driver for I2C and I open the reference I face a problem in setting values for SCLDEL SDADEL SCLH SCLL and I don't know how to set theses values. I kept searching and I saw there is an Excel sheet you can enter the Pclk and I2C speed frequent,rise time ,fall time, and choose filters then you will get the value I try to apply the example which is provided in the below picture but the result is not the same as the photo So to summarize What do I need to help me in it?Why the result is different?How to set values of ( SCLDEL SDADEL SCLH SCLL )? It will be great if you give a formula to understand instead of reference which I can't understand it.

Dear ST Microelectronics Team,I want to connect a STM32F723IE with I2C as master, which is powered with 3.0V, to a bus with one slave with 3.0V and to another slave with 3.8V. From the datasheet I can see that the GPIOs are 5V compliant, but can the I2C peripherals still work correctly. While researching (I am still learning the electrotechnical conditions for the correct use of I2C) I come across the use of so-called bidirectional voltage level converters. - Is the use of a level converter necessary?- Where can I find out from the STM32 datasheets, which voltage range is tolerated by the I2C periphery?Thanks a lot

I want to work by adding the c and h files I created.The problem is that the variables and header files declared in ".h" cannot be loaded from the ".c" file.Below is the situation I tested.The c and h files I created are core.c and core.h.not problem As shown in the figure, there was no problem when "components.h" and "stdio.h" were included in the core.c file and variables were declared.However, an error occurred when variables declared in core.h and header files were included.I would like to ask for help on how to solve it.

hi its been months since i started my journey with the ethernet port i need to communicate via UDP to a pc to get data from the board and send i succeeded some times where some of my projects worked for a while then stopped sometimes the board doesnt ping at all the problem is that i work on this project on and off not continuously so i tend to forget what i did every last time now it's not pinging or nothing i tried following the https://controllerstech.com/stm32-ethenret-2-udp-server/ tutorial and it just worked then stopped if any of you succeeded with the udp server please help and thanks in advance

@Community member What works:Using STM32CubeIDE 1.6.1 and created a .ioc for the F750 I have used the library with arm_math version V1.4.5 b in my previous project with the STM32F750 without a problem, adding __FPU_PRESENT and using ARM_MATH_CM7 using hal drivers. I don't have any libraries linked. and it compiles and FFT works. Intruction set is THumb2, Floating point Abi-hard, unit = FPv5-D6. using 9-2020-q2-update GNU tools for STM32 toolchain. GNU11 ISOC11 compilerWhat does not work:Using STM32CubeIDE and created a .ioc project using the STM32L072cz. I am trying to include the same DSP CMSIS library to do a little vibration anaysis. The exact same settings except for no FPU and FPU uinti is Software and I am using ARM_MATH_CM0PLUS .In Release compile I getError __SSAT already definedIn file included from ../Drivers/CMSIS/DSP_Lib/Source/TransformFunctions/arm_cfft_f32.c:41:../Drivers/CMSIS/DSP_Lib/Include/arm_math.h:666:25: error: redefinition of '__SSAT' 666 | &nbsp

Hello,The datasheet for STM32WLE5xx states, that this series is capable of OTA firmware update, however I am not able to find any resources on how do perform it. The only document that shows up is the AN5554 application note on firmware update over the air (FUOTA), but it's only applicable to dual-core STM32WL55xx series, and not single-core STM32WLE5xx.Is there an error in the datasheet? If not, I would greatly appreciate any pointers/resources on how to perform OTA for STM32WLE5xx series.

I have a strange issue. I used the SDIO Interface on a F2 and a F429 without issues. But on the first usage with the F446 i run into a strange problem.With the Logic Analyzer i am observing the communication.Card Init:Requesting Card Type, CSD and CID works well over the CLK and CMD Line.While Switching to the 4Bit Mode i'm getting wrong feedback via the Data line. In detail there is a problem with the FindSCR function still in 1Bit Mode. SDMMC_CmdSendSCR is send out correctly. The DPSM is reacting correct to the Data0 lines response. Flags a set correct for 2 32Bit words but SDIO_ReadFIFO() will only give zero as feedback.Log Sending SCR: Response: static uint32_t SD_FindSCR(SD_HandleTypeDef *hsd, uint32_t *pSCR){....   if(__HAL_SD_GET_FLAG(hsd, SDIO_FLAG_RXDAVL))   {       uint32_t data = SDIO_ReadFIFO(hsd->Instance);       printf("copy tmp[%u] = %u\n\r", index,data);&nbsp
