I using STM32CubeIDE and STM32L03.I don't understand how to make a simple sample of a ADC channel (in blocking mode). I had config the Cube to generate a ADC_Init() that contains my 6 Analog In channels. I want to have a function that goes like this: uint16_t AD_Read(unit32_t channel) { ... }I make a ADC_Start and then HAL_Polling() and then get the ADC value. Doing that for 20 samples. But where do I set what ADC channel I want to read? Is it the rank member I set before I calling HAL_ADC_Start() or what? The first channel in ADC_Init has this "rank" member set.The config I tried to keep as simple as I could. No group scanning or continuous scanning and no interrupt.The ADC_Inithadc.Instance = ADC1; hadc.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV4; hadc.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_10B; hadc.Init.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_19CYCLES_5; hadc.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DIRECTION_FORWARD; hadc.Init.DataAlign = AD

I'm working on a project where I need to send and receive http requests/response over tcp/ip, I can get only 3 ethernet modules from my local store - ENC28J60/W5500/W5100. After doing some research I found out basically all 3 of them can work for me, but at the same time none of them have proper HAL library I can use to easily implement them in my project.So I need an advise on whichever one of those 3 I should use, which would be simpler to add and work on?If anyone already used them in HAL previously and already has a working library I'd appreciate it, otherwise I'll need to port them from Arduino libraries.

I'm using the latest 6.7.0 version of STM32CubeMX for generating the code. I'm selecting just the serial wire and the a different timer for tick generation and nothing else. The code generation is completed without any errors. But when I try to compile I get about a zillion errors regarding FreeRTOS. Did a lot of search and tried different solutions provided. Like this one here. But nothing worked so far. :weary_face: Has anybody tried similar config ? Thanks in advance for your help :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Here is the starting and ending lines of the build output. Had to snip off a bit as the post was getting too long. :grinning_face_with_sweat: Build started: Project: Test *** Using Compiler 'V6.19', folder: 'C:\Keil_v5\ARM\ARMCLANG\Bin' Build target 'Test' compiling stm32g0xx_ll_rcc.c... compiling stm32g0xx_hal_timebase_tim.c... compiling app_freertos.c... compiling main.c... assembling startup_stm32g030xx.s... compiling stm32g0xx_it.c... compiling stm32g0xx_hal_msp.c... co

I have the latest CubeIDE and have selected SDIO 1-wire and FatFS. As stated numerous times in the past it doesn't work. The funny thing is, years later and it still doesn't work...Can someone (preferably an ST employee as they get paid) post a written tutorial?

is there any STM32 variant which has on chip IoT/ WiFi connectivity module. So that it can be configured and used just like USART or timers.Regards

HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady is good option to check sensor presence but while i2c sensor working incase of error occurrence will error interrupt will be triggered ?

I have a large firmware that the MCU must execute. It will not fit into SRAM1-4, so I am trying to move the entire code (or a portion of it) to DDR RAM. I have no problems reading and writing DDR memory from the MCU, as long as it's just data, but for some reason when the PC jumps to an address in DDR, execution halts (or we get a HardFault, depending on if a debugger is attached to the MCU). If I move this section to SRAM, then everything works fine (except that my MCU firmware is limited to 384kB).I have set the linker so that the MCU code's entry point and Reset_Handler is in SRAM, and one particular linker section is in DDR RAM (0xC5000000 for example). I've verified the M4's elf file contains the proper sections. When I run the program, the A7 MPU properly loads the raw data of the M4's code into 0xC5000000, and I can confirm with a debugger that these addresses contain valid Cortex-M4 instructions.After that, the A7 releases the MCU HOLD on the co-processor. With a debugger attac

Hello,I'm using the exemple for FUOTA in STM32WL for single core (STM32WLE). And I would like to know where I can find the .ioc file to change the pinout confirguration of the chip.Thanks

hi, i'm trying to make USB_FS work on my custom board. my desired configuration is peripheral (otg can be ok, i have jumper on id: PA_10)i already have 2 USB HS so i can use only USB_FS mapped on PA_11 and PA_12 as OTG. i follow the st wiki at the point 3.3.1 witn dr_mode = "peripheral";my result is: i can see 49000000.usb-otg under /sys/class/udc/i can create one gadget device in /sys/kernel/config/usb_gadget/g1 (i created serial over usb) as i assign 49000000.usb-otg > /sys/kernel/config/usb_gadget/g1/UDC, usb does not turn on, i always have 0V on PA_11 and PA_12 if i follow the st wiki at the point 3.3.2 witn dr_mode = "peripheral";all works great and i can create my usb gadget more info: my micro is STM32MP157F i'm using linux 5.10.10i have NO hardware pull_up or pull_down on any line i have VDD3V3_USBFS shorted with VDD3V3_USBHS (both connected to 3.3v)my otg port is B_TYPE and i have one jumper to select OTG mode (i need only peripheral) can anyone help me?

Hello everyone, I have been working with stm32h747xih6 MCU for a while now. I'm trying to establish ethernet communication with the MCU. if (netif_is_link_up(&gnetif)) { /* When the netif is fully configured this function must be called */ netif_set_up(&gnetif); } else { /* When the netif link is down this function must be called */ netif_set_down(&gnetif); }My code always goes to the else condition in the above snippet of the code.I have attached my .IOC file below for reference.At times when i do arp -a from command terminal my device IP comes on the command prompt but when I try to ping the connection is lost.Kindly help me out with this issue

STM32F207IGH used in the existing product. We see that we need more Flash & SRAM to include more software features. STM32F427II is having double the size of both Flash & SRAM. What is the process to migrate software to STM32F427II? Micrium RTOS used in the existing product. Is there any easy way to migrate software code?

I am looking for an example for USB audio device class UAC1 for NUCLEO-H723ZG.The aim is to stream audio data from STM32 onto an android device (and there to a spectrum app). Many thanks to any hints.

Hello,   I am trying to configure a custom board with STM32WB5MMG in STOP2 low power mode. For that, the program calls the PWR_ExitStopMode() function when a timer reaches 10 seconds and exits when EXTI0 interrupts by calling PWR_ExitStopMode().   The MCU goes into and exits from STOP2 mode correctly, but I need the board remain connectable even when the MCU is in low power mode; however, BLE stops advertising when the board is in STOP2 mode.   If the connection has been established before the board goes into stop mode, then BLE works fine until a disconnection occurs, then I have the same problem.   I also tried using sleep mode and got the same results.   Code: __weak void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == BTN_Pin) { PWR_ExitSleepMode(); //SystemClock_Config(); HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2); printf("WAKE UP FROM EXTI\r\n"); } }   in main:   if(timer_1s>=10) { PWR_EnterStopMode(); printf("GOING INTO STOP2 MODE\r\n"); }

I am trying to trigger a screen change from code. I have followed:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000AaYMwM/how-to-implement-switchscreen-in-touchgfxandhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BTdnsASQR/how-can-i-change-screen-in-softwareBoth Q&A threads are incomplete and I haven't been able to get either of them working on my own.I have my message queue passing messages from FreeRTOS across to touchGFX to notify of hardware button presses (no touch screen in this application). But the only way I have been able to trigger any screen changes is to define an an interaction in the Designer, then call it from the model using:static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance())->gotoScreenNameNoTransition();I would prefer to not have to create "dummy" interactions in the designer which never get used. I want to create a goto for each of my screens, then call them from my model based on state changes in the system. I would appreciate any help you can offe

Hi ST Community,Trying to get lwIP HTTP server working on STM32F407 with Cube V1.27.1. I am able to ping, however on the first HTTP request I get DMASR FBES (Fatal bus error) and after that, neither pings nor TCP packets get any response. Looking through the stm32f4xx_hal_eth.c, I see that FBES gets detected in HAL_ETH_Transmit and on the next HAL_ETH_Transmit call, the ETH_Prepare_Tx_Descriptors fails due to descriptor DESC0 showing that is owned (ETH_DMATXDESC_OWN) by DMA. I believe this issue is caused by DMA attempting to access HTTP buffer in memory, but I am not 100% sure. I am using Waveshare EVK407I dev board, which does come with a working example with old Cube V1.6.0. The example code can be found on their wiki. Therefore I am convinced that the hardware works, the issue has to be with the new stm32f4xx_hal_eth.c or lwIP. Worth to mention, I do not get any issues on Cube V1.27.1 on STM32F429 with LAN8742 (Nucleo).Below is my code. Thank you.

I have used STM32CubeMX to generate the configuration required to use SPI1 with DMA for a nucleo H743ZI2 board:  Then, I generate the code as a Makefile project and modify the main function to have:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USB_OTG_FS_PCD_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */   /* USER CODE END 2 */   /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ uint8_t buff[8] = {0}; while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER COD

I have a question that has been bothering me for a long time!lwip 2.12 webserver it has problem with LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS.When enabling LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS, I get unstable work, sometimes it works, sometimes don't work. When disabling LWIP_HTTPD_DYNAMIC_HEADERS, we get an error "Assertion "HTTP headers not included in file system" failed at line 2271 ...I use NUCLEO-F767ZI and STM32H743The problem is observed in all versions of stm32CubeIDE 1.9.0 by stm32CubeIDE 1.11.2But stm32CubeIDE 1.8.0 everything work well.Could someone help?

i'm using STM32F730 as uart receiver and STM32f0 as uart transmitter baud rate 9600, 8 bit data representation. i'm using DMA with interrupt for the communication. i'm using HAL for programming on IAR workbench. The transmitter is continuously transmitting 20 bytes after a delay of 1 sec. i'm facing following issue:The receiver gets interrupted only once and after wards it is not getting interrupted. i've reused "HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&huart1,Rxr,20);" in interrupt callback function "HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart, uint16_t Size)".
