no stm32 device in dfu mode connected

Hello Everyone

I wanted to connect my STM32MP157-DK2 to laptop (Ubuntu 18.04 through a VM). I followed every step in the bellow article but nothing : https://wiki.st.com/.../STM32MP15_Discovery_kits...

According to section 6.2 my MP should connect. The STM32Programmer Software is responding (Version 2.5) but the USB connection isn't possible

The switches are on the Off mode.

There is no explanation on the net, so I hope that you can help me.

Thanks

Probably an USB setting on VirtualBox. I think the DFU is handled on Windows machine side, where it should not.

To confirm the board is in DFU mode, try to :

  • disconnect the USB (the one next to HDMI connector).
  • reset the board (black button), the red led LD6 should fast flash.
  • plug the USB, then LD6 red led flash should stop, mean the USB enumeration succeeded.

Regards.

It still does not work ..

It still does not work .. :

After hours of fighting with the device I decided to avoid using a VM. I followed the steps indicated in the st.wiki guide and everything worked perfectly.

The only tiny difference is that exporting the Path on Windows is done manually through "system properties".
