Given the way info on this board presents on Google, and that

marks the board NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs), and 16 month old data sheet, you'd really want to push into ST via a local rep, and query where in the life cycle the board/radio are. The NRND might relate to the older spin of the STM32L1 series, as there is a new variant of that.
The board itself has not been much of a topic of discussion on this forum, but I really couldn't tell you if there is a more appropriate one.
On a side note, I have accounts with Mouser and DigiKey, Mouser is almost always a cheaper source.
