I am using a STM8AF discovery board for prototyping and coding development. I would like to use it to establish SPI communication with an external ADC, the ADS1118 from TI. On the datasheet for STM8AF, "The microcontrollers of the STM8AF and STM8AL boards communicate with the L99PM62GXP IC through the SPI interface, that allows control and diagnosis of the device. "
I don't see any pinouts for SPI pins available and I only see test points on boards for SPI. I believe the SPI_NSS is connected with the L99PM62GXP already. Does this mean I cannot use SPI on board with a device other than L99PM62GXP? Is there any way to establish SPI communication with ADS1118 in that case?
