Pre build step in STVD

Hello all,

I would like to run a script when building a project in STVD before the preprocessor (the script generates a header).

Is there any way of doing this?

Before someone gives you an answer, you would have found it in the user guide or simply playing around the ide.

Correct, I am the one who opened the registermap topic.

I think the problem is not with my attitude, but with your lack of sense to the humor.

Of course I have checked the manual, and the STVD before opened this issue.

The only way what I found is to create a script which overwrites the contents of an object file and add it as a pre link step.

But that is a HACK what I would like to avoid. (Similarly to generate the headers from the IAR files.) I apologize that you have not been able to understand this issue too.
