When I regenerate code using my latest version of CubeMX (V6.0.1), it overwrites (deletes) existing user-defined areas. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Occurs on both Windows 10 and OSX.

Hi @JCool.1

Can you please check with the 6.1.0 version ?

If problem still appear, can you please share your ioc file and mention which user defined area has been deleted ?

Thanks, Khouloud

Hi Khouloud
Thank you for a prompt response. Will come back to you after I upgraded to v6.1.0

Hi Khouloud
Case #00122094
Subject:CubeMX app
Status: Working
RPN:
This is the current status of my problem.
First, I have CubeMX running on four machines:
1. iMac, OS is El Capitan, V.10.11.6.
2. MacBook Air, OS is High Sierra, V.10.13.6.
3. iMac, OS is Mojave, V.10.14.6
4. PC, OS is Windows 10.
The iMac running Mojave also hosts a Windows 10 installation, running within Parallels virtualization software. This is loaded with the CubeMX app (please note that I’ve been using this approach for the great majority of my Cube-related work for some years now).
Second, all machines are now running CubeMX V6.1.1. As a result of updating to the latest version of Cube the problems haven’t gone away; they’ve just changed.
Third, only the PC generates source code correctly, the final message being:
In every other case the final message is:
As you can see from the following, many files that should be generated just aren’t.
Naturally enough, this doesn’t run.
I don’t know which version of Cube introduced this problem as I haven’t started new projects for quite some time now.
Your help in solving this would be very much appreciated; it really is important to me.
Many thanks in advance
Jim Cooling

Also, can you please share you ioc file and mention which user defined area has been deleted?

Thanks, Khouloud
