STM32CubeMX Error – "cube-finder-db.zip (HTTP Access Forbidden)"

name00
Visitor

Dear Support Team,

While using STM32CubeMX, I encountered an error when attempting to select "Refresh Data" (via Help > Refresh Data) or "ACCESS TO MCU Selector". The error message displayed is: cube-finder-db.zip (HTTP Access Forbidden). The screenshot of the error message is also attached.

As suggested in a community forum, I have already attempted to run STM32CubeMX with administrative privileges; however, the issue persists. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

Additionally, could you kindly provide the direct URL for the cube-finder-db.zip file? Please also confirm whether specific Connection Parameter Settings are required to successfully download this file.

I would be grateful for your prompt response.

Best regards

Let's try to follow those steps:

- Close CubeMX

- Go under C:\Users\XXXX and delete .stm32cubemx

- Launch CubeMX 6.14.1

- Try to follow this article :How to set the network connection parameters for STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX

By following those steps will be able to refresh data successfully.

Hi @Ghofrane GSOURI

Thank you for your prompt response.

I have followed the suggested solution; however, the issue persists.

To provide additional context regarding the problem encountered on my system:

  1. I am operating behind a firewall that requires all URLs to be explicitly whitelisted for internet access.

  2. I have ensured that both HTTP and HTTPS access to st.com and its subdomains are enabled, yet the requests are still not being processed successfully.

  3. If there are any additional domains that must be whitelisted to facilitate proper access, I would appreciate it if you could share those details.

I would be grateful for your continued assistance in resolving this matter.

Best Regards

Hello @name00

Review your firewall logs to identify any blocked requests related to STM32CubeMX. This can help pinpoint specific domains that need whitelisting.
