User Authentication Dialog hangs

The newest version of CubeIDE requires a sign-in to myST, but the dialog box hangs on Ubuntu.  Pretty frustrating...

Debian/testing - the same situation. Login dialog appears, but I can't enter neither user nor password. Buttons are also inactive....

I found out that reverting to 1.12 works, because that version doesn't require logging in. That fixed it for me.

Issue still ongoing over a year later, and seemingly not just Linux(?)

I'm running STM32CubeIDE v1.16.1 on Windows 11, same issue: User Authentication Dialog window pops up (after 10-20 seconds of "Loading, please wait"), vertical lines bumping across, but never gets anywhere.  Tried around a dozen separate times, waiting a couple minutes minimum each time, nothing.

I expected having to wait after entering in my credentials, but it's ridiculous for a login window to hang on initial load of the window itself.

FYI, in Window > Preferences > STM32Cube > Firmware Updater, Check Connection verified a good connection.  In Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections, I've tested this with Active Provider at default settings and changed to Manual, same result.

Has anyone managed to solve the problem? 

For 1.18.0 I can't still log in and I can only see empty window.

I think that the problem may be on ST's side because several attempts to log in to the forum were also unsuccessful.
