STM32 CUBE IDE not getting the relevant options to choose

I was using STM Cube IDE version 1.17.0, and I am not getting the option to choose the Stm32Cube in Target Project type by default it is selecting the option of empty. I have been using the same version for few months and I have never faced this issue.. Could you find a solution for this.

i just tried -> new STM32 project --- but also here in IDE 1.18.1 , only "empty" , no "Cube" project can be selected.

Two weeks ago i made last project, for Cube with ioc , worked as usual.

So what happened ? Online update to no more working setup ? Why ??

Let's try to delete the STM32CubeIDE cache folder (.stm32cubeide) then retest  by launching  STM32CubeIDE again and choose a new workspace , if the issue still there try to delete the .metadata

first close all ST applications and clean your environment by deleting the folders .stm32cufinder, .stm32cubemx, and .stm32cubeide from your PC. Then, relaunch the IDE and use the Help → Check for Updates option to update the software and packages. If problems continue, uninstall STM32CubeIDE completely and reinstall the latest version to ensure a clean and stable setup.

deleting metadata changes nothing, no more ioc project generated.

So please tell me, what happened here ?

I use the IDE (v1.0....v1.18.1 now) almost every day and i can say: v1.18 was the first stable version, without any crash etc , until now : this strange modification. Was there something like an online update of a module ?

(I forgot to set it to offline mode, as i did before, because any "updates" by STM always been some rolling the dice...you never know, whats "new" then and whats new errors, things that worked before. )

Please try to

-Close STM32CubeIDE

-Delete all those files from your PC: .stm32cufinder, .stm32cubemx, .stm32cubeide and .stm32cube 

then restart the STM32CubeIDE and retest again.

Generates Cube project again.
