There is the X-CUBE-STL software package available for STL, but only under NDA. However, many documents are freely accessible (please don't forget to click on Load more to see all user manuals).

What, exactly, do you hope to achieve by this "self test"?
What kind(s) of failures are you expecting to occur?
How do you anticipate dealing with any failures the "self test" may find?
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
