I want to connect a Newhaven 320x240 TFT display to the STM32F746 discovery board. The display uses a 24 bit RGB interface. The display has connections for the LED backlight (19.2 VDC @ 40ma). It has the 3.3 VDC power connections. And the V-sync, H-sync, and pixel clock inputs. I removed the display that came with it. I have the necessary 54 pin FFC breakout board and will solder wires from the pads on the discovery board directly to the breakout board.
A couple of questions:
- Can I connect this display?
- Can I use the discovery boards charge pump for the backlight on the Newhaven display?
I am using Embedded Wizard for the GUI design and will have to modify their display initialization routine. I am attaching the Newhaven display pin descriptions.
I will not be using a touch panel.
