Submitting new Ideas for improving TouchGFX

Dear all,

We often receive new ideas for improving our STM32 hardware and software, and these ideas are often scattered around the community in different posts. This is making it difficult to be aware of all and to consolidate each single idea and get community feedback. To improve they way of providing new ideas for a new widget, new feature, improved usability, etc. to TouchGFX, we have created an “IDEA? forum, where these can be posted and everyone can comment and upvote/downvote.

Before we release this new feature we need some of you to help us test it and provide feedback for improvements. If you are find this interesting, please let us know.

Best regards

Soren Mikkelsen

Yes, very much!

I tried to start a similar thread a while back but it never really caught on.

this concept is similar across a lot of programs/platforms and I know that for example Autodesk does a similar thing with fusion360 feature requests

Count me in!

Great @HP

I will write you an email with further details.

Hello,

@Soren Myllerup MIKKELSEN (ST Employee)

Thanks for the Topic ..

I am interested if more TouchGFX Demo(s) are combined with USB Mass Storage / SDCard / LEDs /Hardware Switches /UART /CAN/ Ethernet/ WiFi

So, Actual deployment and  usability can be easy while modifying or referencing that demo(s) in our Projects/Products.

Great :) This is the way, also other "departments" of st should handle the stuff ;) But as usual: the TouchGFX team doesn´t disappoint me :) If you´re interested: I have several F746 and F769 discovery boards for tests lying around here ;)

The 1st Ideas, when it comes to a "wishlist" would be:

a) a simple "link mechanism" to freeRTOS semaphores and queues (not really necessary, as long, as the interactions with external code can handle this very well, but it could be helpful, to have tGFX "keeping an eye" on them. This would lead to being expandable even with a FSM inside tGFX)

b) a keyboard widget (usable as standard keyboard, like in the examples, and as a numpad) in the designer. Easy to configure and to skin ;)
