Depends on the amount of bandwidth you start with, and how much you waste.
Small f_read() transactions will be slow, you need to do large, aligned, multi-sector reads.
Do some benchmarking to understand your budgets.

I've custom hardware, STM32H743, 4GB eMMC on SDMMC1, I think is enought for little videos.
