Will the example code be revved to match the latest HAL? (SDIO/FatFS)

I'm getting FatFS in place and got some example code out of the Cube for F4 1.4.0 firmware distribution for STM324x9I_EVAL. The code in main.c will not compile against the HAL since SD_Driver is missing (replaced by USER_Driver???). 

In the absence of documentation, it would be great to have an example of the latest consensus code.
