What makes a BLUENRG-LP *not* an stm32? The stm32wb and bluenrg both have BLE and the peripherals seem similar if not identical. I know the stm32wb is dual-core and the bluenrg-lp single, but is there a difference that makes the bluenrg-lp not an stm32?

Hello,

I understand this can be confusing.

As you can notice BlueNRG-LP is very close (from peripherals point of view) from a STM32-L0.

If you compare reference manual, you will effectively notice more than similarities.

Now for ST internal reason BlueNRG-LP is not part of STM32 Cube ecosystem.

This may change in the coming months.

However BlueNRG-LP is providing with full materials (eval boards, SDK over various IDEs etc) and is highly recommended for low end application requesting high RF performances combined with ultra low power performances.

Laurent

Hi Laurent,
I noticed ST has numerous online training materials for their STM32 line (past webinars, books, MOOC etc), but nothing listed for the BlueNRG-LP chips.  Why is that?  I'd like to learn about the BlueNRG-LP in depth just as well as someone who chose an STM32 part for their project.

Thank you,
