What is the difference between pins FDCAN1_TX and FDCAN1_TXFD_MODE ?

Hello ,

in STM32 H742 data sheet I find CAN pind with or without the suffix FD_MODE, but there is no explanation on it. What does that mean? CAN peripheral has only one output for Rx and Tx each. Can't I use those without FD_MODE when using CANFD but only for CAN2.0? How does the pin know which mode is used?

Thank you for some details

Martin

Any ideas?

I need this information for a schematics, which pins should I use?

Thanks for any help

Dear @Mr_M_from_G ,

Indeed, only Rx and Tx are used for FDCAN communication..

All FDCANx_TXFD_MODE & FDCANx_RXFD_MODE occurrences will be removed from datasheets.
