I'm not sure what you're asking, can you provide more context, cite an example for a previous STM32 part?

Don't they all have 1MB of FLASH?

Is there any evidence that parts report anything but 0x0400 ? The Boot ROM for both the F2 and F4 both report as being STM32F2, at least for the devices I have on the bench.

What does the BID TLA stand for?
