I'm working on a SPI interface on stm32f205rg. I'm newly using this chip. I do the configuration as I do on stm32f103 and of cause refer to example of stm32f2. It's just not working. I configure SPI1 worked as a slave. And as I can see in debug, the SPI1->DR is not assigned when sending data. While the CLK from the Master is all right. The code is as followed. Yeah, wouldn't the Chip Select be an INPUT on a slave device, and wouldn't you need to send data back to the master in response to data being shifted IN?

thanks for your quick reply.Chip Select, I assume you meanTIP_SPI_NSS_PIN in my code.
This a legacy macro. Sorry for its ambiguity.Actually,TIP_SPI_NSS_PIN is a output pin for triggering the Master's EXTI to receive data by sending dummy bytes as well as providing the SCLK.
As I do inSpiInit(),
SPI_NSS_Soft mode is configured, so the NSS Pin can be use as GPIO.
