Hello,
I am currently utilizing STM32F205xxxx chips on several board designs, but may need to transition to other chips within the STM32F207/15/17 family due to procurement issues. I wanted to confirm the pin-to-pin, hardware, and software compatibility of these components (assuming the same flash memory size, package, and temperature rating). Can these chips serve as drop-in replacements for the STM32F205, and if not, what would the differences be?
Thank you!

Yes, these are 100% identical chips, except that on the 'F205, the ETH and crypto features are untested/blocked.

Hello,
Welcome to ST Community
Please refer to Datasheet DS6329 to check the pins descriptions and compatibilty
You can use the STM32CubeMX tool, which offers the features to compare the characteristics of two or more MCUs through the "Cross Selector" tab, and to display the list of compatible MCUs.

If you followed the design guide, the for 144-pin F405 / F415, etc would require minimal BOM level changes, and the same firmware would work too.
