Tried also Hardware NSS.. but still noting comes out of the MOSI.

Super.

Should stop if you stop the 0x55 clocking data, or you could just stuff 0xFFFF into the SPI, or have it DMA in from some where. I'd have to experiment, but I'm on the road/plane right now.
