Hello,

Will the new ST link support ETM trace like the new ULINK PRO?

Dear kjepsen,

;) Of course not. ST-Link is a very low cost JTAG/SWD probe and can not have ETM neither other advanced features like the one offered by J-link, Ulink, J-trace, U-link-pro, Signum-jet etc... : This is an entry level tool for debugging :)

Cheers,

STOne-32.

> For STM32 MCUs, ST-LINK is driven by the Atollic toolset, TrueSTUDIO (version 1.0 or later), IAR toolset EWARM (version 5.30 or later) and Keil toolset ARM-MDK (version 3.3 or later).

And atollic seems to be based on eclipse/gcc/gdb?

Does this mean ST-LINK is supported by openocd, or at least something that runs under Linux?

Is the ST-Link already available (Europe/Germany)? I could not find any shop or distributor which already sells this jtag-interface... How much will it cost?

@dmatheis: We requested the ST-Link at Spoerle (now Arrow) and the article was not listed in their computer. After some complaints I pointed the sales girl to the ST page what indicates ''available/in production''. After this, we received an offer for 25,6

Hello Janvi,

thank you for the information. Now I can see on Arrow's homepage the ST-Link (but not in stock and without price ;) ). I will try to get one but as I am a university student (writing my diploma thesis about a project using a STM32) it would be hard to get a device there...

The ST-Links also arrived here. Included are 3 diffrent target cables including a tiny 4 pin target connector for serial debug. CD from Atollic and demo CDs from IAR and Keil. You can drop in for a test in Stuttgart ...
