Nucleo L1 on OS/X

Hello,

I tried to ''get started'' with my Nucleo L1 Developing Board. I've checked that all jumpers are set as they should be and than connected the board to my mac book. The red power led is blinking, the green (LD2) is not blinking (and not lighting).

Any recommendation on how to work with the Nucleo under OS/X. I'm not a big fan of IDEs and prefer to use a decent editor in combination with cmake.

Could I connect the Nucleo to a JLink?
