Hi all, I need to know more about the GPIO current source / sinking capabilities of the STM32F0 family. According to Table 18 in the STM32F051C8 datasheet (DM00039193.pdf) the maximum current that can be sinked/sourced by any GPIO pin (with some exceptions ...PC13, PC14 and PC15) is 25mA. However the total current sinked into / sourced outof the chip is listed as ''TBD''. Does anyone have these numbers or can provide me with a reasonable approximation ? This is sort of an important spec that should be in the spec sheet.

Probably something to run through with your FAE.

Clive, I'm shocked ! I thought that it would be 10A!!!
Kidding aside, the IVDD for the 90nm stm32f2 family is 120mA and that of the stm32f1 family (pre 90nm) is 150mA. My guess would be to assume 120mA is safe. I'll get in touch with an FAE when I get a chance. In the mean time if the chip explodes, I'll let you know. halherta2012-07-02 02:51 PM
Luckily I was thinking of the 100 pin version, not the 176 pin one...
The latest F205 rev 9 document is missing, rev 8 mentions 120 mA. The F405 rev 3 specifies 150 mA, and I couldn't find any specs on the 55 nm shrink.
