i have been using stlink v2 for a while now, but today it wouldn't connect with any of my stm32 boards the error mesage that apears is

Error in initializing ST-LINK device.
Reason: No device found on target.
i have no clue what it could be, i tried in two different pcs with stm32 cube ide in the 1.17 and 1.18 version, i have tried updating the stlink software in the cube ide , in the programmer and in the st link utility, nothing is really working, the boards are fine cause i can connect them to the st programmer using usb.
Need help, Thanks

The "stick" V2 having 3v3 always, because it can give power out on 3v3 pin.
The original V2 needs power from target and shows it...so tried other cable also ?
Because if 3v3 at target, wired to st-link 3v3 "sense" input, but it shows just 0,5V here - no real working wired connection exists.

i have tried with 3 diferent cables between stmboard and stlink, and also tries diferent cables between stlink to computer, also whe powering the stmboards the pwr led turns on so indeed theres more than 0.5v coming in

So your sure, to give 3v3 to st-link - but it shows 0,5V ? And same wiring was working before?
Then open one of the "0,5v" candidates and check - maybe you see something "suspect" .

yeo im sure,
that resistor is a little bit like to dark, but both give me 10 ohms , the blue one is the Chinese one

So you grilled them just "a little bit" - or killed them "a little bit" . :)
What it shows on CubeProgrammer, if you only wire pin19 to pin 1 or 2 ?

jajaj nop they are just fine i take anotherone of my friend and measure it and its the same resistor with the same value, now i have no clue what can be, im thinking in buying stlink v3...
