C0: Probable error in AN2606 Rev. 70, Chap 90:Device-dependent bootloader parameters

Uwe Bonnes
Chief

In AN2606 Rev. 70, Chap 90 Device-dependent bootloader parameters table 226

the RAM area accessible from the bootloader seem inconsistant:

- C031xx has a negative RAM range, excluding RAM at bottom and top of full RAM range as accessible from the bootloader
- C01xx RAM range declares all RAM as accessible

- C031xx excludes RAM at bottom and top of available RAM

Please confirm these values. Thanks!

Hello,

I didn't understand the last point:

C031 like C011 has RAM from 0x20000000 to 0x20002FFF. Table 226 tells that the range  0x20002000 up to 0x20001fff, effective nothing, is availble during bootloader. That mean that the C031 bootloader reserves all 12 k RAM for itself, while the C011 bootloader does not reserve any RAM.

Request raised internally over this internal ticket CDM0062723.

I'll get back to you as soon as I have a feedback.
