Hola, anyone using STEVAL-IPM15B + NUCLEO-F303RE having the same problem?
Im trying to develop FOC control for big brushless motors.
I purchased the NUCLEO-F303RE + STEVAL-IPM15B to design FOC motor drivers.
My motor is a brushless 21 pp , 200Vdcbus big motor.
My issue is when i try to use the motor profiler sofware tool i get a lot of communication errors like:
"Warning! the fimware embedded on control board is correct, but the control board communication is still missing"
i also own a NUCLEO-F392R8 + X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 and i dont have any problem with any of the sofware tools.
My question is: is there any documentation or user guide (more complete than the one existing in the st webpage which doesnt tell you much abouthow to setup)?
have a nice day and thanks in advance
When i unplugg the STEVAL-IPM15B the communications seem to work again

Have you got any success?
I am also having the same setup.
STEVAL-IPM15B + NUCLEO-F303RE + X-NUCLEO-IHM09M1
But motor is different. 60ST-M01330 (400W, 3000rpm, 2.8A, 4 polepair, 220V)
I am using off-the self 400V DC power supply module Infineon EVAL_2.5KW_CCM_4PIN (400VDC, 2.5 kW PFC board)
Pole Pairs: 4
Max Speed: 3000
Max Current: 2.8
VBus: 400
I can able to connect successfully with Motor Profiler 5.4.3 .
But when i click on start profile, it won't give any fault and after few seconds got Error "Profile Failed"
I have also tried creating workspace using Motor Workbench (entering motor parameters from the motor datasheet)
I tried to start motor from Monitor tool in Motor Workbench.
Motor jerks few time and Monitor gives "Speed Feedback" Error.
So can you help why Motor Profiler not working?

I got the same error, i spent a lot of time trying to get around it.
Im starting to think STEVAL-IPM15B is just a waste of time and money.

I had the same "communication error" problem, and it is easy to solve.
The motor profiler takes the communication settings from the Motor Control Workbench monitor. Open a new project, open the monitor, set your com port, baud rate and connect to the board just to check if the communication is working. Close the monitor.
Now open the motor profiler and it should work.
Cheers.

The question has been moved from the "Motor Control Hardware" section to the "STM32 Motor Control" section (the question is about the STM32 MC SDK).
Best regards
