Programmer can't find STEVAL-ESC002V1

Hello, 

 I am using a STEVAL-ESC002V1 board and I am stuggling to make it work. I want to load the bin file given in STSW-ESC002V1 but the STM32Cube Programmer does not find the board. I am using a STlinkV3Minie connected to the SWD connector.

The instructions given to use the board are really rudimentary and I am new to ST work environment so I am a bit lost. 

Is it a better option to use the bootloader? If so how do I do that?

I'll gladly take any help.

I have the same issue with STLink V2... Can't get a connection to the board. Did you find a solution?

I found the problem! You have also to add the VAPP to you STLink (PIN 1 at STLink V2).

It's easy to solder a connection to C1 on the Board.
