Minimum programming configuration for STSPIN32G0601

I have attempted to interface an STSPIN32G0601 using only connections to an ST-LINK (V2). That is: there are no other connections to the target IC other than SWCLK to PA14 (pin 62), SWDIO to PA13 (pin 61), GND to VSS (pin 8), and 3.3V to VDD (pin 7). The STM CubeProgrammer application sees the ST-LINK device, but it does not detect the STSPIN32G0601. I have none of the pins other than the ones I've already mentioned connected - no powers, no grounds, no pull-ups, no pull-downs. I am trying to decide whether I have a bad device or do not have sufficient connections to allow communications through the ST-LINK. The ST-LINK has been verified to work with a number of other STM32 boards. Is my minimal configuration sufficient?

Peter, thank you for your willingness to offer help. I found that I had a hardware problem; I did not properly solder the device. I used hot air. Later, I re-flowed it using infra-red, and it now works. The tiny QFN packages can be a challenge. The ST-LINK I'm using is a clone, I think. I've also tested the device using ST-LINKs from Nucleo boards. The only connections to the device are Gnd, Vdd, SWClk, and SWDIO.

Well, if you don't supply the target with voltage, the ST-LINK/V2 (a genuine one?) can't find a target either.

I measured the voltage between pins 7 and 8 to be 3.313V. That is being supplied by the ST-LINK.
