Hi ST ,
I have 100 qty of STM32L4R5VG with bootloader version 9.2 which is fault bootloader .
AN2606 says that the bootloader version 9.2 has a trouble with system reset repeatably so can not be used for bootloader.
I tried to fix this issue by myself, but I found there is no solution from this Q&A : https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BTbseCSQR/stm32l4r5vg-bootloader-version-92-not-working-only-system-reset-repeatably
How can I exchange the fault STM32L4R5VG with normal bootloader V9.4 or STM32L4R5VI ?
What's the process to exchange ?

Hello @igotit ,
There are 2 possible workarounds:
- use the similar 2MB Flash devices (STM32L4R5VI)
- wait for the 1MB Flash samples of STM32L4R5VG with updated bootloader
I'll contact you privately to explain how to proceed.
Sorry for the inconvenience created for you because of this problem.

Contact a ST sales representative, FAE or distributor.
I'm pretty sure they don't discuss it on a public forum.

Today, I call with the sales representative , they say "we can not exchange, we are not responsible to you and you should request that mouser you purchased..". That's all.
What ? ST peoples are all insane?
Bootloader trouble is caused by ST's fault manufacturing and quality process.
ST must resolve this issue responsibly !

Most people on this forum are users of their products, and not affiliated with ST. And a few technical ST staff.
Meaning, you can't expect much help in legal issues here.
Perhaps escalating inside your company (project management, purchasing department, if any).

Thanks Ozone.
Now, I see there is "a few technical ST staff" in this forum. I think I get it now.
OK I will take a different route.
