Why am I getting an error: No debug probe detected in STM32 CubeProgrammer? Is there a setting in the software or is there a driver issue?

The STLink-V3Mini is connected to the USB port and the light on the board is green.

Thanks for the reply. Normally I'd agree with you and often wonder how they work at all much less after all the abuse they receive. In this case, the cables are not charge-only cables and are the same ones I use for other dev boards with micro USB connectors. They usually "just work" and I expected the Nucleo-144 to do the same. Fortunately I found the Stackoverlow post and grabbed one of my wife's old USB cords and it is working like a champ.

One more update - I checked out my usb cables with some breakout connectors and found that I had a string of bad luck and grabbed every charge only cable within reach! Today I found several other data cables, all of which work with the nucleo just fine.

Am using stmcubeprogrammer v2.17.0 and the board is STM32H743IIT6
