STlink different pinout information

zpedro

Hello,

I'm developing a customized board with STM32H723ZGT6, and I need to prepare it to program the uC, so I'm placing a connector to conect the STlink V2 or V3. Looking for the documentation I have diferent information about the programmer pinout. In the images you can see that pins 2 and 3 are different.

What infomation should I use?

Many Thanks!

You should follow the left side figure "Figure 15 JTAG connector implementation", as Figure 15 shows implementation of MCU/STM32H723 JTAG connector.

Right side figure, UM2448, chapter 8.2.2, shows implementation of JTAG connector for debug probe (=STLINK-V3SET).

pin 2 is NC for STLINK-V3SET CN2, this is partly because its pin 1 is enough to detect target (MCU) Vcc.

pin 3 is NC for STLINK-V3SET CN2, I suppose, to support STM32 JTAG and SWD mode, no need for STLINK-V3SET to use/connect/control the nJTRST pin of STM32.
