Programming NUCLEOWB55RG board with another board

I want to program a NUCLEOWB55RG board with another identical NUCLEOWB55RG.

The reason is the other NUCLEO board is placed on a PCB and is powered externally, so i cannot connect USB to it.

Do I just remove the JP1 jumper and connect the SWD pins (SWD, SWDIO, GND, VDD, NRST) between boards?

Hello @fshaikh98

I advice you to use the JP5 of both boards for connections. You may also refer to this article with this article too.

Why is connecting USB a problem? If external power is connected, it'll use that instead of USB if you have the jumpers configured appropriately.

But yes, if you connect SWDIO/SWCLK/GND/SWD at the JP5 header, it should work. JP1 is a power header, doesn't seem relevant here.

@TDK External power is 3.3V here, not 5V. I am afraid of the regulator's output affecting the 3.3V input
