Nucleo-U545RE-Q Host Binaries for Flashing X‑NUCLEO‑67W61M1 (Mission Profile T01)

Hello ST Team,

I am working with the X‑NUCLEO‑67W61M1 Wi‑Fi 6 & BLE NCP expansion board and I need to flash the Mission Profile T01 firmware to the ST67W611M1 module.

The official X‑CUBE‑ST67W61 package supports flashing only through the following Nucleo boards:

  • NUCLEO‑U575ZI‑Q
  • NUCLEO‑H7S3L8
  • NUCLEO‑H563ZI
  • NUCLEO‑N657X0‑Q

I currently do not have these boards.
Instead, I have:

  • NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q

My goal is to flash X‑NUCLEO‑67W61M1 using NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q as the host board.

According to the ST Nucleo documentation, the NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q and NUCLEO‑U575ZI‑Q boards are nearly identical in terms of Arduino pinout and electrical compatibility, so the Wi‑Fi shield connection is valid.
However, X‑CUBE‑ST67W61 does not provide any ready‑made binaries for NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q.

When running the official script:

Projects\ST67W6X_Scripts\Binaries\NCP_update_mission_profile_t01.bat

the process stops at:

Board ID NUCLEO-U545RE-Q not recognized

This happens because the package does not include:

NUCLEO-U545RE-Q_Binaries\
   Bootloader.bin
   ST67W6X_CLI.bin

What I need help with:

✔ How to correctly build the host binaries for NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q

Equivalent to the existing folder:

Projects\ST67W6X_Scripts\Binaries\NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q_Binaries

Specifically, I need guidance on how to build:

  1. Bootloader.bin (host side)
  2. ST67W6X_CLI.bin (host CLI application)

using sources from:

x-cube-st67w61\Projects\NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q\

and port them properly to:

STM32U545RET6Q (NUCLEO-U545RE-Q)

:folded_hands:Support Needed from ST

  1. Steps to correctly port NUCLEO‑U575ZI‑Q projects to NUCLEO‑U545RE‑Q within X‑CUBE‑ST67W61
  2. Instructions to build Bootloader.bin and ST67W6X_CLI.bin for U545
  3. Any existing compatibility notes between U575 and U545 for this Wi‑Fi NCP solution
  4. Confirmation on whether X‑CUBE‑ST67W61 officially supports adding a new board (U545)
  5. If possible, sample project or minimal template for U545 to accelerate porting

I would greatly appreciate any official guidance or an example showing how to generate the host binaries for a new STM32 board when using X‑CUBE‑ST67W61.

Thank you in advance for your support.
