In addition to the Q&A you just listened to at the end of the On-Demand webinar, we’re posting here questions received after the live session from November 2018.

Feel free to add others in the comments!

Q1         Do you have for sale EMV/RFID/NFC Card Reader?

A1         We do not sell finished products, but our NFC reader IC allows to build EMVCo certified payment terminals.

Q2         Does NFC Type supports asymmetric encryption?

A2         NFC by itself is a transport protocol/layer. Therefore, encrypted data can be transferred (received/send) with our NFC reader IC, or received by our tag ICs.

Q3        Does NFC need anti-collision protocols when used in retail, with products stacked loosely?

A3         NFC is based on either ISO 14443 or ISO 15696 standards, and in either case anti-collision protocols are defined and applied.
