What is the difference between the obsolete VNS1NV04D-E and the new VNS1NV04DP-E? Thanks, Jim

Welcome, @JMall.1, to the community!

The dies inside are identical, but the internal connection is a bit different. This means that apart from the maximum total power dissipation, the electrical parameters are completely identical.

The thermal resistance Rthj-lead increased from 15K/W (VNS1NV04D-E) to 30K/W (VNS1NV04DP-E), so the absolute maximum total power dissipation decreased from 8.3W to 4W, which must be taken into account for the cooling measures.

Good luck!
