negative shunt in M2P45M12W2-1LA

Hello,

We want use sixpack SiC Power MOSFET module for drive a low power hi voltage motor.

For safety reson I want measure the phase currents with 3 shunts connected beetween low side source and negative, instead one. With this package aren't avalable the power low side sources pin, but only signal low side sources (S2 pin 22, S4 pin 26 and S6 pin 30).

Are there some issue, other than noise and voltage drop, like low section wire bonding, about use signal low side sources for connect the shunts leaving negative (pin 1-2) disconnected?

Thancks

Hi,

> I want measure the phase currents with 3 shunts

good idea.

>With this package aren't avalable the power low side sources pin

So no source pin - nothing to connect the R .

>S2 pin 22, S4 pin 26 and S6 pin 30

= these are the Kelvin source connections for the driver. NOT for power to gnd.

-> So you can use only one shunt N---gnd/neg to measure the sum current. Thats it.
