Is it possible to measure Placement Electrical Angle without Motor Profiler?

I am currently working with the STM32 Motor Control SDK and would like to ask a question regarding the Placement Electrical Angle.

Due to hardware limitations (single-shunt current sensing) and tool constraints, I am unable to use the Motor Profiler.
In this situation, I would like to know:

  • Is it possible to measure or determine the Placement Electrical Angle without using the Motor Profiler?

  • If so, does ST recommend a manual or alternative procedure (for example, forced alignment using d-axis current, open-loop control, or hall-sensor-based methods)?

  • Are there any application notes, user manuals, or example projects that describe this procedure in detail?

For your reference, I am using a motor with Hall sensors and the STM32 Motor Control SDK.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards,
Pelino

You need to create a Neutral point from the 3 phases.
