Hello,
Our customer has inquired about the meaning of the last three-digit code in the marking on the L78L15ACUTR.
For example, some parts are marked with "8L218" or "8L243" on the top surface.
Could you kindly explain what "218" and "243" stands for?
Thank you in advance for your support.

The marking 8L stands for the L78L15ACUTR.
The remaining characters are the datecode in the form YWW, while Y is just the last digit of the year and WW stands for the calender week.
Hope that helps?
Regards
/Peter
